Horizons ship lost, stranded on planet

So how do I find my ship? I was careless, went too far. I thought there was a recall function or something. Halp T_T

of course there is a recall, just mouse down or goto contacts and recall your ship.

sorry can you be more specific? I have nothing on contacts, and in the lower panel I have a tab called 'ship' which has nothing but the description of the ship, and a tab called 'srv' with a button 'leave settlement' that does nothing.
Bugged?

you mean you landed on the planet surface and went out on the SRV? The new menu panel where you launched the SRV from will have an option to recall the ship. If you landed at a space ship landing bay on a planet settlement and went out in your SRV then you will need to re-request landing permission to get the correct landing bay of ship highlighted.

If you have not gone far enough, but are out of sight of your ship, the ship should show on your radar as a little green open rectangle. If so, head towards it.

If you went further afield, the ship is automatically dispatched to orbit somewhere safe, and is available to be summoned in the panel when you "look down" in your SRV, with something like "summon ship."

If neither, then it appears you have a bug.

Edit: Or, yes, according to londonx, if you were docked and went out, request docking permission for the compass to point you to the way back.

What i just noticed (because i got struck in a deep canyon) :
You can exit the game and restart the normal elite (not horizon). You will then be asked if you want to start in orbit near the planet you were on ... easy =)

No..... I had to go far from the base, SO the recall button would appear. Awesome UI btw lol. On a side note, it's awesome what the human brain can do when ur life is in danger XD

Drive some kilometers away from the settlement. Check from time to time the srv menu. There should appear the button to recall your ship. It's not a bug, seems like the settlement can block your radio channel to the ship. It happens only if you attack them ))

Yes I was near the end of the fuel bar when I connected the 'leave settlement' button with the concept of having to go farther to be able to call the ship XD
I could have died out there!!

Same here, I restarted the game two times, to check is it a bug or not. Then I tried to drive away an the menu changed. The cool thing is, I destroyed all the drones with my ship, landed an send the ship away.

Yeah can you imagine the forums if your recalled ship landed in the middle of a hostile base

Seems logic to me. But the first time reaction is sometimes special, especially under stress.
