From what I can see have;

Docking Mode
Combat Mode
Discovery Scanner Mode
FSS Mode

Which is all great and all, but where is my mode Indicator?

Kinda getting sick of being told 'you can't do this is combat mode', 'you cant to that in Docking mode' Ok! What damn mode am I actually in?

to be honest i never used docking mode (or alternate flight mode to be precise)
but i think it's really between combat/analysis mode that restrict use of hardpoint

As to:

Combat Mode: The HUD color is the classic Orange color we all know and love.
DSS Mode: It is a complete alternative to the normal HUD. It would be impossible to not know you are in the DSS Mode.
PSS Mode: The HUD color is altered to be Blue to differentiate between Combat Mode.

To my best knowledge the Docking Computer has music that indicates it is operational. If that is, in fact, what you mean by the Docking Mode.

The Docking Computer has "Autodock in Progress" displayed in the center of the screen while activated. I wish that it didn't when capturing videos.

No, I don't use a DC.. I left the station and tried to pull the trigger to scan a wake and got, you are in docking mode and I;m like what the.. Where is my mode indicator? Which raises a question.. What to people with color blindness deal with this?

No great issue either way.

In addition to the points about colours;

Combat HUD mode has curved lines on the left and right of the HUD.

Analysis HUD mode has straight lines on the left and right of the HUD.

I presume Analysis HUD mode is what you meant by DS Mode, but just to clarify in case, Analysis HUD Mode is for Firegroup activated Analysis tools (scanners basically), but there’s no specific DS Mode.

FSS Mode and Probe mode both have their own distinct interfaces which make it pretty clear if you’re in one of those modes.

I’ve also never used the alternate controls for docking (if that’s what you mean by Docking Mode).
