Additionally it'll be interesting if you can apply a prefix to your ship to give an idea as to what it is, ie MV (Merchant Vessel), IMV (Imperial Merchant Vessel) etc.
I'm currently docked at an Orbis station named Cummings Dock in CD-86 4. Ships with silly names can't be much worse than that. I've said it before and will say it again, real world ships have silly names as well. I live in Miami. I see stupid names on boats every time I'm near a dock
Let's hope it's not like paint jobs and bodykits a paid store item. 2.5 € per name…
As much as i think the idea of giving your ship some personality is awesome. It is almost inevitable to not come across ships named "SS y0l0sWag#420" and the likes. So i'm a bit torn on this
I look forward to ship naming in game. I've been naming my ships since day one and loads of other folk have too.

How about "DAVE" and "TRACY" on the ship's canopy?![]()
My Orca will be Steely Dan, as in Steely Dan III from Yokohama.
It's got the shape for it already.

In proper tradition, ship naming should be completely RNG. Random Name Generated. Here comes my Cobra "ö ejrpqwcjrü3 j4kr" MkIV.
I'll reserve Boaty McBoatface.
