Newcomer / Intro Shouldnt I have access to a Freagle?

So I bought the game waaaay back on 4-9-2014 (I still have the transactions and everything), but havent really played since then... I decided to pick the game back up again today, and while it was patching I decided to check out the wiki on available ships, where I found this little tidbit of info:

In September 2014 Frontier announced that the Eagle would become a second starting ship for all players who had pre-ordered Elite: Dangerous, including existing Beta and Kickstarter supporters. This starting Eagle (known as the "Freagle") is located in a Station outside of the player's starting system and can be flown once the commander travels to the station where it is stored. The Freagle can be found by opening the Galaxy Map and looking for a system with a blue ship icon next to it; the ship will be located in a station within the designated system.

However, jumping into the game, I didnt see any blue shop icon next to any system. So did I just miss the boat, or is something else going on?

Check the Shipyard, and if you have any stored ship locations listed.

Oooh, I do have an Eagle! But the icon isnt blue as the wiki says, but red... I thought the red icon simply pointed towards my current location...

Follow-up question, if I die in my Eagle, do I still get another free one just like my Sidewinder, or is this a one-time thing?

You get it back if you have enough money to cover the insurance. Or at least similar eagle (don't know if the paintjob comes with the ship then too).

I would assume that a free eagle would stay a free eagle just like the free sidewinder; meaning if you die, you can pick it up again. if you do not pay the insurance, you will lose your loadout, but that should be all.
I cannot confirm this theory though, since I do not have a freagle myself.

Well, you can clear your save. Then you have your free Eagle back. ;)

But otherwise no. The Eagle you have was a gift and behaves like other ships you buy normally - If you don't have money for insurance, you're gonna lose her upon death.

So I stand corrected.
However, with the 600 000 credit loan option towards rebuy cost, you should never have to lose your freagle :)

Actually, I just died with only 891CR on me, and I got my free Eagle back plus the regular 1000CR you get at the start... So I guess it stays free?

Because what I think happened was that you didn't have enough money, so you overdrew from the bank and, of course, the game doesn't want you to go completely broke so it let you have a 1000Cr.

I think you just selected to start completely over - giving you 1000,- , a Sidewinder and an Eagle.

Normally, if you die and choose to get back into the ship that was just destroyed, i.e. pay the insurance for it, you don't get the Freagle back. What you'll always keep though even if you sell/loose the Freagle (or any Eagle, for that matter) is the nice red paintjob for the/any Eagle.

I think the icons got changed on the galaxy map in a recent update. Wiki needs an update.
