Show me your PVP ready mission ship

So, yeah. Let's leave the offtopic remarks for another thread. A good one would be the "I've been corrupted..." one. That seems to be pertinent to all matters Colonia, Wargfoot, etc etc.

Thanks.

I've got a Viper Mk3 built for couriering and escaping combat. Never been interdicted in it by a player, but i feel safe flying it in open. I can imagine most gankers wouldn't even bother interdicting it knowing the speeds a stripped down viper can go. Anyway, likely to win the interdiction mini game in it against most gankers.

I had a very silly guy chain interdict my CMDR's racing viper with a corvette when I was swapping around some Engineering secondaries.
You really have to admire dedication some people have. Reminds me of me getting interdicted in an iEagle, same story pretty much. Couldn't he see the first time around that the ship is boosting away from him at three times his own speed.

"Ah ha! I have you now! Oh... where is he?"

It's not so much you expect to catch that Viper but that once, long ago, an overly confident pilot of a fast ship decided to take a pass at you and you rammed him to death (or something similar).

And so you begin a quest to experience it once again. :giggle:

My racing viper has five guardian SRPs (which are visible as subsystem targets). It's made to take a dead-on collision with the ground, canyon wall, or (preferably) a more fragile racer at 896m/s, without losing shields.

Even if I was dumb enough to not, like, move it out of the way, my ship would just bounce off a corvette and be out of weapons range one boost later.

I always read of those noobs, carebears and non-PVPers having wrong specced ships to fly their missions, trade, mine or explore. So there have to be a shipbuild being able to do all of this, while being ready for combat PVP-style whenever it might happen.

You're better having ships that specialise, but you can equip and engineer any ship to vastly improve it's survivability, it's just all a compromise, like a trading ship can survive if they sacrifice some storage and range and have some defensive capability, for example chaff and ecm, speed is also your friend, engine upgrades not only improve speed they improve maneuverability.

PvP realistically needs 100% engineering whilst a good PvE ship in open needs around 60%-70%

But having ships specialise instead of a 'do it all' general purpose ship will greatly increase your odds of survival.

Good luck and fly dangerous.

As being the OP, meanwhile some things have developed:

as before, my Colonia mission ship "The Tragically Hip" (my favourite Band, that nobody else seems to know ;-)) is a Python. I now made her more survivable, if interdicted by some real persons. Well...I realized, that every interdiction of a NPC (which I always, always avoid, if I will, but I will not always, because I made this ship more survivable...;-)) that I accepted, the pirates (even in Wing) scan my ship, and after I start to open hardpoints, they turn and fly away...

Is that usual AI ? Seems to be so....

It is a better feeling to fly a ship that can stand some damage...

Well NPC pirates wont attack you if you dont have cargo. And some pirate wont attack if you have either (i don't know which) a high combat rank or a much better ship.

Real player pirates might just be deeming you not worth their time.
