Wreckage of two SRV:s and a part(?) of an unidentifed ship far out of the bubble. In between Colonia and Sag A*. Also found a poi with cannisters on the same moon. Wouldn't be surprised if it contains more poi:s.

That's not that uncommon. It's an RNG encounter, so won't be there if you go back.

It was for me. Left the system before I checked out the "blue fields" on the radar. Came back and it was still there. I'm still curious however how common or uncommon these encounters are that far away from the bubble.

They get progressively less common with distance from populated systems. But you can still sometimes find them at surprisingly far distances.

"Only" a bit more than 8 k from Colonia. Now I'm curious however to go back another time to see if they're still there.

I recall finding a bunch of escape pods on the surface of a moon over 25000ly from the bubble about 3 years ago. Closer to the core than Colonia but still quite a distance. I'm not sure if the generated objects are particular to your instance and simply disappear if you log out.

If you are traveling between Colonia and the Bubble they are a lot more common due to the various stations and bases forming a sort of civilised corridor, off that path they become far fewer.

Yeah. This one was "between" Colonia and Sag A*. Not as in a straight line though but rather a slight detour to the "east". Now I really feel like I need to go back and check if it's still there.

Hot damn, someone finally found a planet that was on a massively eccentric orbit around a NS! I didn't think it was actually possible. That's a perihelion of 0.017 AU, which is about 8.5 light seconds! (the aphelion would be 5.06 AU).

Unfortunately the NS would still just be a speck of light at that perihelion distance, so it ain't no "Monde de la Mort", but that's still pretty awesome!

One of the things I've always hoped to stumble across was a system where I happened to arrive at just the right time to find a grand alignment of the whole system, all the planets neatly lined up. Tonight I jumped into a system, fired up the FSS and everything was in a really tight clump, several planets all in the same direction and I thought I'd hit the jackpot.

Then I opened up the system map - I don't think I can count it. If the entire system is always like that because all the planets are always orbiting together in the same (relatively) small volume it's not quite what I'm looking for...

Close, but no banana. Good to see, though.

I haven't posted here for a while, simply because I wasn't exploring. I finally got out into the void again and found this here. Now I have seen many ringed L and Y dwarfs, but never did I see a ring T Tauri yet. But then again I never did specifically look for them, so they might not be rare at all. In any case I thought I share my find.
