IBM XT. 4.77MHz CPU and 640KB of RAM unless the internals have been upgraded.
CGA graphics too, so the same colours as Microsoft's Windows Phone interface.
We had a clone with an 8088 processor. Upgraded it to a 10MHz CPU, 1MB of RAM
and EGA graphics. Some games like Sopwith Camel became too fast to play.

And build to withstand a direct nuclear impact. These machines (and their keyboards) where massive. Felt en looked like they where made out of cast iron. :)

They were carnivorous too! I met someone who lost the tip of a finger when they lifted the monitor onto a filing cabinet then hinged the case lid up only to have the monitor fall slamming the lid shut with their finger in the way!

Behold! My relatively inexpensive yet super useful setup!

I can pretty much control everything from the HOTAS thanks to xpadder, but I'm really proud of the switch panel.

Is that one of the Saitek instrument panels? I am really considering getting something like that but only if theres going to be enough button functions to warrant it and it's not going to be a pain to get it working with elite and star citizen. I'd turn this room into a mock up cockpit but I don't want to end up with 5 devices for a few games that don't have enough things to map to..
What sort of functions have you assigned to it and how is it working out?

Older pic, just got it all set up for testing about 9 months ago - was originally built for Flighht Sim X - Now Elite as well :)

Here's my ED setup, complete with Samsung's new 4K 28-inch screen :) ED looks brilliant in 4K and I can't wait for SLI support in Beta-2 as I've got two GTX 770 overclocked cards

Looks like an IBM PC (5150), actually. If that's the case, it comes with somewhere between 64 and 640 kB RAM (depends on how many chips are populated on the board, and whether or not an expansion board has been fitted), with zero to two 160, 180 or 360 kB Tandon 5¼" floppies and a tape interface in the back (that's the defining difference).

And BASIC in ROM. It fires up by default if the floppy controller isn't present, but there was a small MS/PC-DOS program to jump to the BASIC ROM after boot, if you felt like it.

I have one in the room with me right now, complete with the tape interface. It still works.

By the way, the EGA didn't come out until the IBM AT (the 80286 one). The PC and XT came with an IBM MDA (80×25 @ 8×16, monochrome text only, quite crisp for the time). The CGA was a later upgrade (320×200 with 4 colours, 640×200 with 2 colours, and not very legible 8×8-cell 80×25 and 40×25 16-colour text modes — the latter used for TV output with an optional RF modulator).

No joystick yet. :( My old Thrustmaster Fox 2 doesn't work properly anymore (hardware calibration is way off), so I still haven't decided which one should I buy.

And don't ask me what I need 2 keyboards for. It's a long story.

Forget about the keyboards, what's the name of your cute bear? :D

Samsung series 7 gaming laptop. mouse and keyboard gaming for me till I get some spare cash for a hotas controller.

And by the way, the Hans Olo joke was great :)

Ah it takes me back :)
I remember our EGA card having a switch on the back to flip into CGA for certain games like Sopwith Camel, Bruce Lee and Fahrenheit451.
In the end we had two hard drives (10MB and 20MB), 24MB RAM, and VGA graphics, then in the early 90s we got a 486DX4.

Looking to convert the racing pit to the right off camera at some stage, but here's my "office"/office.

A pic of the main rig on the right:

Hmmmm .... just taken the plunge with this and am already thinking about building something for it. It would be great if this:

And this:

... had a love child.

I don't have the space for another rig so I may just build a seat modeled off an in game one and integrate the HOTAS.

My wife's not going to be pleased ...
