Running Windows 7 on my 2014 Macbook pro 2.3GHz.
The best thing is the 55'' TV and the audio from the speakers. :)

Here's my freshly built rig:

i5 4670K Haswell
Asus Maximus VII Ranger Z97 Motherboard
MSI GeForce GTX760 OC Gamers Edition
16GB Corsair DDR3 RAM @1333MHz

Mini-ITX

and that's it!

Until now I've been running reasonably well on its integrated graphics, and with the release of PB 2.0 it's surprisingly smooth. Ok, I don't have the highest quality settings by a long way but that hasn't stopped me enjoying playing the game ever since I joined in with PB 1.0.

Why this setup? Because I originally wanted a small enough footprint to fit in an old C64 case. And it did (admittedly with the keyboard kind of wedged on top and the PSU made external to the case) but it was impractical - especially with the need to locate a decent graphics card somewhere before too long. If you're interested: http://blog.justin.pnnr.net/hardware-hacks/c64-rebuild/

So the last piece of the puzzle is to choose a graphics card. I'd like to get an Oculus Rift at some point so I need something that's good enough. I'm hoping the GTX 770 OC 2GB (http://uk.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4629&dl=1&RWD=0#ov) I just ordered will be up to the task :S

Here's my current setup (which I built last year):

Just to show how low spec you can go with Elite dangerous, I'm running a 5 year old PC. While I'm waiting to be able to afford my new one, I thought I'd try Elite on my old one, which is an Athlon XP3600 with 8GB and a geforce GT6100. It's sluggish and runs in a window, but it works!

Anybody tried E: D on XP? I've got a low end (in nowadays terms) setup, Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz, 3 GB of RAM, Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT with 1 GB of VRAM and WinXP. This is kinda sufficient for my current needs... Probably except for E: D, but while I'm waiting for final version which I bought, I'd like to know earlier, will it work or no way...
