Sidewinder vs Anaconda

Have got a huge grin on my face at the moment after just being in a battle with another player - my Sidewinder vs their Anaconda :D

I saw the Anaconda in one of the Eranin high intensity battles with low shields and just thought it'd be fun to have a go and practice some strafe/circling.

During the battle a salvo of 6 missiles were fired at me - somewhat in frustration perhaps as I needed swatting ;). It was definitely an "oh sh**" moment seeing all of those missiles launched and hunt me across the radar. Survived by running away and having some upgrades on the ship. I'll bet the Anaconda player was equally surprised that I came back from that :eek:

I felt pretty darn good about being able to take on the Anaconda and felt like I stood a fighting chance. And something very special about this game when no opponent is truly invicible :cool:

Sadly we'll never know the outcome - my client crashed :rolleyes:

LOL you're brave to try, did the Anaconda have working turrets or just the front weapons? Not got far enough to work out if/how they work.

I saw an anaconda out side a spacestation with about 34% health basically killing anything that came out while soaking up the entire spacestation arsenal.

I snuck up behind in my cobra thinking i'll get him on the sly. With in a second of firing on him he had me down to 2% hull after a barrage of missiles. I dont know how I got out there alive.

But I had those point defence things, and they did not fire a single shot. Bugged I think, or useless.

Is that a bug, 100% health to zero? I have found sometimes it seemed my weapons werent doing anything but maybe the health display was bugged.
