Again, give the EDO VR on foot a try and enjoy the "feature" on the grey burka 2D vision. Then as someone who says they play VR games you will notice in a flash, it just horrible.
I'm good thanks.

Yes it sure is horrible, it just such a shame as the rest of ED in VR is breathtaking.Yes, that grey burka looks horrible..
I'm seriously thinking about picking up an Index, playing on foot like that would be disappointing..
How many people in this forum are waiting for a full VR implementation to buy Odyssey?

It like going out to a fine restaurant and the start & first course (ED) was delicious then comes the dessert (EDO on foot in VR) you are wait for the pièce de résistance, but you just get a pile of.
Interesting, particularly as it is the same VR implementation, but maybe you just don't like the progress in planetary technology and still bewail the loss of beige?but exploration - and for that Horizons does a better job. I can't see that changing any time soon.
I damn these glasses!I'm still concerned VR goggles will make people go cross eyed and we'll have a situation like that movie, The Jerk.
For someone that doesn’t like VR I find it surprising that you are not only reading post’s about VR but also finding the time to comment. It's always amazing how one-eyed VR fanatics can be
If you'd ever played Odyssey on flatscreen, you'd now know how off-base your assessment is.
I don't like VR at all myself, but having tried it once on an Odyssey surface, those were my exact thoughts as well: a slap in the face to VR players.
Fortunately, in my case, it will only thicken the dust on my headset, with no further side effects...

But they said they tried it in VR... Isn't that all of what the 'discussion' is about, VR?For someone that doesn’t like VR I find it surprising that you are not only reading post’s about VR but also finding the time to comment.
VR or not I still find the Horizons planet tech more interesting.
I'd say the same, but I did load EDH last week during a Buckyball Race, because if you write your bookmarks a certain way, you can select them slightly faster during a race. Once the race is over, I went right back to Odyssey. But they said they tried it in VR... Isn't that all of what the 'discussion' is about, VR?
I also play EDO in VR, and have not bothered loading EDH since May of last year... Funny how different people react differently to the same content, isn't it? As if we are able to make our own decisions, which must be terribly shocking to some, I confess.
It is pretty pig-headed of Frontier IMO. The headlook function using EDTracker or whatever still works, the 3D settings still appear in game (for that massive 3D TV marketThis video confuses the hell out of me. I know it takes some work to make something work well in VR, but as shown, you can swtich to third person (vanity cam) and get a VR experience, so surely they could just add a "head" cam with the first person HUD added and you'd get something halfway towards what needs to be done.
I'm not certain how enjoyable it would be compared to a real VR implementation, but i feel it would be "good enough for now" level.
