Skimmers Drones

Just an idea, it would be nice to introduce our own skimmers / Drones fitted to our SRVs or maybe any new SRV that may or may not be coming along in the future, these could be used for scan missions of flying ahead to scout dangerous mountain rangers or small outposts etc etc.
At the same time would be a good feature for video makers to capture some great drone space flight footage of our SRV driving past etc.

One thing that I found out about a while ago is that skimmers are about the same size as an SRV (I have a picture of a disabled skimmer next to an SRV somewhere). From here, it would make sense that if we were to get (currently in game) skimmers in some playable form, they would probably take up a slot in the SRV hangar.

As for a Goliath, maybe it would take up a slot in the fighter hangar? There is no way a Goliath would be able to fold up to fit into the cargo hatch.

thats what i mean a air to ground skimmer or goliath if fd dnt want bombardement with ship..a more combat oriented srv with a different loadout will be a fresh air for planetary mission too

I'd like to have Skimmer Drones that could keep me company, it adds a level of depth to the game.
When in SOLO mode, getting lonely is very easy to have happen, so having personal Drones to fly around your SRV would be nice.
Also, it would prevent issues like getting stuck being as much of an issue as well as running out of fuel because you've gone to sleep while enjoying the surroundings.

I know my farther would be one to nod-off while enjoying the surroundings on a big screen.
That's the main appeal for him to the game (he's an insomniac, and ED can put him to sleep).

For those who have an issue with Pilots of other ships trying to hunt them down.
The Skimmers could be used defensively as Hologram Projectors.
Making it look like there are loads of SRV's, allowing the real SRV get back to their ship to either get away or retaliate.

Personal SRV Skimmer Escort Drones should go up in increments of price, the more Drones, the more expensive the drones get.
So, SRV on its own being Price X
SRV +1 Drone XY
SRV +2 Drones X2Y
SRV +3 Drones X4Y
SRV +4 Drones X8Y
SRV +5 Drones X16Y
SRV +6 Drones X32Y (CAP Limit recommended as 6 Drones, no more than 4 can deploy at once)
If 7 Drones were available, the cost should be X64Y and an eighth Drone would cost X128Y, but no more than 8 Drones per SRV assigned to Ship, and no more than 4 deploy at once.

Prices might look like a lot, but as more drones are available, more capabilities for those drones would become available.
1 Drone allowing wider Scan Ranges and Fuel renew from Mothership (25% Fuel)
2 Drones allowing wider Scan Ranges (wider than one) and Fuel renew from Mothership (50%)
3 Drones allowing surround Scan at wider Range (wider than two) and Fuel renew from Mothership (75%)
4 Drones allowing surround Scan at wider Range (wider than three) and Fuel renew from Mothership (100%) and SRV pick-up
More than 4 Drones allowing Drone replacement faster Fuel renew, but really is just greedy so hence the cost.

So, I know I went on a bit, but that is how it could work.
