lmao at all the people panicking because this definitely means they're going to ban pvp piracy now
get a grip, there's a wide gulf between "demanding cargo with menaces" and "social engineering someone over a period of time to outfit a ship that can't jump and taking them to a place where they would be stranded"
for a start, if piracy was banned they'd have to ban half the npcs in the game too

Just imagine in this game, you could be taken hostage, forced to mine by an NPC, if an NPC could do that to you in game then it is acceptable that another human player could.
The issue with that is, you technically become limited in what you can do. If NPCs do it, fine, anything else is potentially off limits. This limits a player(s) scope for inventiveness. That would be a shame.
You say you’re happy to put the most horrible stuff in a game, well some players just did, it was inventive, you don’t like it.

Well in all honesty I was thinking of Red Anders who's yet to watch season 5.
He gets angry when I mess up and does not ever beat me as punishment despite the rumours and plea for help I leave on on open chat in Sol.

To be fair, that's the state in which Leo perpetually lives his life.
Hah it's cool - spoilers within 30 minutes of an episode of something airing are a bit off but in the real, wired world I accept I have to take responsibility for things myself after that. The only sure way to avoid spoilers for anything is to go for complete internet blackout, which as you know I've actually done before, but it's not like I haven't already read all the books when it comes to The Expanse.

HR would still like a report on how exactly a buggy got stuck in that particular tunnel.
When I first started playing ED about 4 years ago and before protected starter systems I was flying in my starter Sidey and got interdicted and shot at. I didn’t know what was going on at all, didn’t know about interdictions or how one can be attacked by a player or npc, then all of a sudden the shooting stopped.
My comms lit up “ I saw you could use some help, so I chased off the Greifer “ I thanked the commander and was informed about all kinds of ED stuff. What a hollow triangle was, Greifers, Open vs Private Group vs solo, and about the PG Mobius and researching on you-tube, he gave me great advise and flew off with a o7.
Being a long-time gamer mostly FPS, I remember being so impressed and taking with all my friends about this new game Elite Dangerous and how a stranger game to my aid.
Now after 4 years and over 3500 hours playing Elite Dangerous I find what 7sd were doing is truly bad for Elite dangerous reputation and they should be banned from open play. This is a complicated game to play at first and I can understand how new players can be duped and guided by lies, if this happened to me I probably would have quite after feeling like a fool.
This game is known for its great Community of helpful players and Events like DW2, Fuel Rats, Hull Seals, Frontier charity events, Dove Enigma repair.
I must ask why ? What are you going to do with all those credits or is this really just about getting power from duping & controlling new players with lies and deceit.

I think the takeaway from this thread is we are all slaves to cuddles.
Yea only problem is your hugs usually involve the recipient falling asleep and waking up with stiches near their kidney area.

You are mistaken, my hugmates are laughing so hard the kidneys kind of fall out, I go to help but accidentally all the time mince them into round discs and sell them.
