Small Worlds Expedition is to provide the support and ability for new and casual players to be able to explore our galaxy without worry. We aim to help develop the skills and knowledge required for long distance exploration. Additionally, we hope we can provide veteran explorers an interesting and challenging alternative to the more commonly accepted exploration vessels.

Damn, I'd join up for at least the space side of this, but my old Diamondback, the Endless Transit, is already about 12-13000ly out from my home system heading coreward.

Theres most likely a mistake in registration form at the ships jump range as its twice there.. :D

But im in, i heard about this expedition listening Josh Hawkins' Brocast yesterday and was instantly excited. :D
I was going to take my Viper Mk3 but it seems that Mk4 has much better internals so i will most likely go with that.
Plenty of time for little FSD modifications.. :cool:

EDIT: Or maybe Vulture... decisions decisions..

Very nice. I'll be giving this a pass, as i'm currently on my way to heart and soul. But a great initiative, especially to get newer explorers on board.

I stuck an Enhanced Performance Drive on my Courier the other day and thought 480 ms-1 was a very nice boost speed. Then I realised it was the ordinary speed... :D

I really like the theme of small ships only. Personally I hope we don't have anything else in the roster - no exception. I endorse the option of a Type-6 for Fuel Rats though.

This is an excellent concept for an expedition! It reminds me of the early days of exploration with the FGE, only now we also have the option of planetary landings. These nebulae are very beautiful! I won´t be able to take part myself, but highly recommend this endeavor!

Still got 21KLy to go getting back to the bubble and then i'll be engineering the heck out of his little engines/FSD.

I'll not be going due to an adventure of my own...but it's a great idea. My first proper trip Out There involved a visit to R CRA and its violet star; I also went to the lovely Fine Ring Nebula on the same trip.
Good luck and enjoy it, everyone! It's certainly something to consider for CMDRs who have thought about exploration but have yet to go for it.

Hello from Spain! I am an explorer started and I would love to be part of this expedition. I am the owner of a new Hauler. I know many credits I will have to invest in it, no problem. Now I'm in Tionisla preparing the route to Agarla. Until the day of the beginning of the expedition prepare the ship for the trip. Kowalski over and out!

Don't worry, as time gets closer more warnings etc. will be mentioned to not bring anything other than a small ship!

We will (and are) very strict on our rules for this expedition, because we have to. It should be a lot of fun for all of the new people to really get an understanding of how fun an expedition can be with a bunch of people. And hopefully, it will be a bit of a challenge for people that have become a little too used to a do it all ship!
So yes, should be a good time for sure!

So, let me get this straight, this is a very short range expedition designed for small ships that are normally not ideal for deep space exploration? Is that the gist of the trip?




Because honestly, that sounds kind of fun! I wonder if I can fit my Imperial Eagle for exploration and jam an SRV in there somehow too....
