Ships Smuggling Vessels

One of my favorite activities is smuggling. I have Cobra builds with no weapons and minimal shields built with maxed out dirty drive thrusters to outrun pretty much anything trying to intercept me.

Silent running and heat sinks for more sneaky options. Anyone else have a fave ship for that purpose?

Apologies! I should have included my build. No weapons means I'm never tempted to fight just run. Can put 4 pips in ENG and the rest in SYS.
At 630+ boost, no security ships can touch me.

Nice build. Never thought of using a Dolphin.

Isinona inspired me with his early vids. Does not pay much but it does raise the pulse during infiltration. Landing in planet settlements can be quite tricky too. Ultra low and using terrain to block scans on approach. In VR, there is major pucker factor.

It's an aspect of the game that should focus on the smaller ships, with high rewards when successful. I have Corvettes and Anacondas and they are fine, but hauling 20 tons of Onionhead into a hi-sec station can be a lot of fun. If you screw up, the rebuy is low as well.

My first, and so far only, on foot assassination (via overloaded charging tool) was very adrenaline pumping...I want more of that...

I made my second billion ages ago during the days of smeaton and rhea passenger runs. Smuggled thousands of criminals with my old anaconda. Those were the glory days. Then the nurf hammer of doom squashed that activity into obscurity.

Those are some pretty sweet builds here. ^^ I just find it curious that many of them use Dirty Drag drives, as these increase the thermal load. Unfo Coriolis never gets the heat right and even Edsy is off by a few points, but the difference between Clean and Dirty tuning seems to be about 5% points.
I've only done the bare minimum of smuggling (as required for engineers), much less infiltration jobs, but looking at these kinda makes me want to try it. ^^

I using Coriolis for the builds I do to get an idea, and I still have no idea how to check what heat load the ships sends out on Coriolis. And I had tried to look on EDSY too, but it is just confusing for me to look at as to find information about the ship build

Fully blinged krait ll with a low emissions pp. Some weps use much less power than others.
Smuggling drugs, precious metals, mines, weps, selling to lower inf at a given targeted asset.
Moneys not huge but boy does it impact their influence hehehe. Shieldless she's at 7%. 11% with..grrr.
My favourite ship. In VR landing the krait is easier than my bulk smuggler. So I just stick with running more loads successfully. Can't be scanned ever whilst on a mission. So I stay in that mindset avoiding all scans.
Nearly always there's a faction nearby that's willing to supply smuggler missions that in turn do what your bgs intentions are too.

Surprised no one has mentioned the Type 6 and Clipper yet. Both are excellent installations and mega ship looters with the operations multi limpet controller and can silent run for days when built for it.

A huge boon to smuggling is supercruise agility as it lets you line up on the slot from supercruise and swooce straight in without having to circle around in realspace where the cops are.

Before the T9 got buffed with a second C8 slot, the corvette was second only to the cutter for cargo capacity. It still sits at a very respectable third place and can fly rings around the others in supercruise.

Even if you fitted the three C7 slots alone, that's 384t of cargo (enough for two maximum-size smuggling missions at a time) and you can get it up to 520 with a C6 shield and C5 FSD booster.

Krait phantom engineered to be cold. Heatsinks. Lots of cargo space. LOTS of speed.
She don't look like much, but she's got it where it counts, kid...
