So frustrating all CG profits gone in one ED coding stuff up.

This is part of my annoyance with the mailslot. It seems to happen less when the ship has shields though.
If this is referring to my last post in this thread, I have been attacked by "power security force" from an opposing power. Beside this CG and other stuff in ED I also do Power Play. In this CG I rarely get pulled out of SC while hauling Titanium, not from a pirate but a 'regular' ship of an opposing power (native to the system), these I can pew pew without consequences. Shooting at a "power security force" is a bad idea, resulting in multiple ships returning fire and maybe the station too. Being attacked by a single "power security force" ship has happed quite often in this CG entering or leaving the station, a single ship does minimal damage, even on a unshielded cutter it was no problem to dock/SC away. Returning fire was deadly though.

You have a cutter? You dont know how running over a small ship that explodes make station hostile?
Use the audotocker on a barge like the cutter. 99% of times its safe dock/undock

I didn't run over anything, unlike the OP. I'm involved in Power Play, pledged to Arissa Lavigny-Duval. This CG is placed out of Arissa Lavigny-Duval systems, so I get attacked by power security force from other powers (they scan me and attack). I didn't touch em or gave em odd looks, no smack talk either :p ... and as long as i don't return fire I just loose a little hull.

And I use auto-dock when hauling ;)

Almost certainly collided with and destroyed an NPC while moving 100m/s or faster. Check the logs to be sure.

Even if they were moving faster, even if they rammed your CMDR's ship, even if they are already damage, if they are destroyed by the collision, your CMDR is automatically legally culpable if speeding.
This TBH since you can't be ganked in solo play as it's more likely that another ship was manoeuvring, collided and was destroyed in the collision causing the station to turn hostile.

While this hasn't happened to me, I did have one instance of having an NPC ship run into me whilst I was slowing (after accelerating to get into the 7500m docking request zone) and looking away to request docking clearance only to receive a 150 credit fine for "reckless flying".

Also to the OP, why are you docking manually as that's going to increase your risk of being turned into space dust from one collision, always have an ADC fitted since even if it's as dumb as the NPCs and runs your ship into walls and other ships on occasion, it's not on you if another ship runs into you whilst you're docking or departing a station.

Yeah, it had to be a powerplay enemy. They can shoot with impunity, but you can't shoot back.

To prevent this, when I approach Starlace Station, if I see anything but green ships, I boost toward the mailslot and pop a heatsink. If I see my heat signature going back up above 5%, I pop another one. I'm flying a shieldless Panther, and even if they land a few hits on me, I never get below 90% hull before I'm safely inside the station.

The whole start- and landingprotocols for the docking computer needs a huge revisit (on coding perspective). Not even the approach is somehow efficient.
And when in the station and in line it very carefully bumps to something while doing an avoid-algorithm which does not fit (doesn't care about station interior).

For the current CG in Starlace - Panther and place 40 - bump into that one tower... every... time... every!
