Horizons So.. Hutton Orbital.....

Just a quick question...

Currently I'm chasing Fed /Sirius rep..
Thought I'd go do a run to Hutton..0.22ly wow..
Ive read on forum its something like 40mins SC flight time..
how much fuel does it need to get there?

Are you sure? It is at least 90 minutes unless you know some magic supercruise trick?
Its been ages, since I did it, but I don't recall it taking over an hour.
Aim at station, throttle to max, go, if you keep throttle in blue though, I could imagine it taking a good bit longer. but that long?

Edit: gonna do the hutton run and see.

Ok Hutton run finished..question asked and answered.
I scooped at the main star when I dropped into the system..full tank.
Looks like it used around 2.5-3tons of fuel..and it took around the 90min mark targetting the station and "being in the blue".
Maybe its quicker just pointing at it and waiting for the SlowDown/overshoot warning..

Coffee time :)

Doing a full throttle run in my python, so should be comparable results, will report back when done.

Halfway there, currently, reaching top speed, so later part will take less time, but so far around 35 min, so definitely longer then I remember, but maybe that is hindsight, especially when you watch movies alongside it seemed over faster then it really was?

So, seems I'm also arriving at the 90 min mark, Definitely longer then I remember, maybe it was two series episodes rather then one?

And done, here's screenshots with exact timing.

No clue why images are in reverse order.

Have I got this right? You arrived at the same time regardless of whether you keep your speed optimal 'in the blue' or go full throttle?

That doesn't make sense, as full throttle is definitely faster than the blue area at any other time I tried it. I always go full throttle, and blue when getting close (unless the blue area has a period of being at the top of the maximum speed range?).
