So... So SO broken!

For Christ's sake. Sort your game out!

Spent several evenings doing this stupid wing mission to hunt pirates and unsurprisingly, the mission is bugged.

The pirate faction's influence hit 0%, and now when they spawn here they are no longer classed as mission targets, and do not count toward the mission. This might have been doable were it not for the fact that the wing mission only works when I am logged in, so my wingmates couldn't even finish it while I was away.

There are just so many things broken with this game! How is the mission system *still* this prone to total failure? How many years are we in now? Three? You couldn't just spawn them in for players with the mission could you? Sigh.

Oh well, nowt to do but give up on 3 hours of pirate hunting because... What a surprise: another feature made it in half tested and half working.

Kill x Pirates Missions have been "problematic" for a very long time now... It's best to stay well clear of them, unless you want to endure hours after hours of frantic searching for a single Mission Target.

PS.
If stuck with such a bugged Mission type, try the following :
- Equip an Interdictor
- enter SuperCruise and place Ship near a known Spawn Point (i.e. main Star or any ringed Gas Giant if it has any RES)
- check for 2 (important!) different NPCs often at different locations to initially spawn as the same time.... one of them will be a Mission Target. Interdict ASAP.
- if no Mission Target spawns, manually leave SC and re-enter to re-trigger the spawn RNG

Should (after an Interdiction or entering a USS with Mission Targets) another Mission Target jump in - do NOT leave the Instance. With any luck, you hit a bug that can turn out to be your Jackpot.
Proceed to destroy all Mission Targets and see if more jump in. If so... Congratulations, you've opened up your own personal "Mission Target Conflict Zone". Try to stick to it until you reach your kill-count and take that rare bug as a gift :)

Edit: they are spawning... But not as mission targets. Must be the wrong Gold Posse... This is rather frustrating.

OP: yep. So many small things need fixing. But hey, you can always go buy a voice pack to read GalNet to you! :)

Yup... 2 hours and 10 ships found that were both of the correct faction AND a mission target. No idea is up with a ship being of the right faction, in the right system, but not a mission target but there you go. So that's 4 hours or so of time wasted over two evenings as we gave up on this poop show.
