It looks like the factions popout on the system map. The last time I used that was over a month ago, and it wasn't there then. It's probably another undocumented feature of 15.x.

Under-documented rather than undocumented, perhaps:

Odyssey system map now displays active faction states as expected.

Maps: Added more faction details in the faction list.

Was a great change to be able to see at a glance all the settlements owned by a specific faction... now if only targetting them from that menu wasn't broken.
