Well, I havent been able to play for a few months, I havent even been able to play any of the Beta's, therefore I have zero clue on setting up any of the controls. Can someone tell me just how on this Earth it is supposed to be set up. Incidently Dev's, if a person decided this game looks good and wants to give it a go, once they get into the control options they will now just give up and get a refund. I use an x55 which the bindings were already more or less maxed out, and then when I got into the options there were at least 30 more that needed setting up.

If someone can help me out here I would be very much grateful. Like I said before I haven't had much time (salty tears aplenty here), and I cannot spend hours setting up..or trying to setup the new controls.

How to set up your controls? Easy. Go through them one by one, assign a button or key and save. Now go fly and test it out and adjust accordingly.

It's really not that difficult. All you need is the FSS and DSS, all do-able with a modifyer key, which you should have seeing as you've got an x55 with lots of buttons.

On the other hand, if you cannot be bothered to spend 5 minutes setting up your controls, maybe let the game be and move on?

More bindings means more control. I love that actually.
What exactly do you need help with? Just the Q4 stuff or something else as well?

Let the game be and move on? nah, after playing since Beta 1.3 that is definitely that is not doable. And I never once said I cannot be bothered. Them comments belong in the Steam community.

You see, for me since Horizons was released, a few of my keys that were set up and worked flawlessly no longer worked as they did before. Here is one example. The sensor zoom axis used to work perfectly, I would use the rotary 3 and turn it clockwise and it would go through the full range (maximum zoom), I would then rotate it counter-clockwise and it would go back to minimum zoom. After Horizons I would have to turn it all the way clockwise to get it to zoom a bit, then turn it counter-clockwise then keep doing it until I had achieved maximum zoom, I then had to use the rotary 4 to decrease the zoom, all the time going from counter-clockwise to clockwise to reset the zoom.

Just the Q4 stuff.

I could watch the youtube streams of the Devs playing, but that would not help as its all chat and no show (plus that's another one of them don't actually get the time to watch a 3 hour stream).

Just keep in mind that you can have the same key assigned to different things in regular flight mode and FSS mode. Personally I like to use keyboard+mouse for FSS.
