Some combat logging food for thought.. If H1Z1 can do it, why not FD?

Poor connections are a fact of life for people that don't live in large first world cities. The OP can go do what the rest of us do: Learn to live with it.

LOL! All I am hoping for is that the PvP crowd has enough folks to support itself....over there! Because when the stink hits the fan...and people realize that the other side will be purely PvP in the Pea You....the outcry will be amazing to listen to...all the way over here!

nah it will have the option to play solo just like ED does, chris Roberts has already stated that.

perhaps you should pop your head over there and actually learn how a real space game is being developed, and learn some truth about the game instead of spouting over a year old negativity....I know a lot of you bury your heads in FDs sand..(no box though) and refuse to learn what the other games are doing.

this forum is going to be a very dead place 2 years from now.

I've always found the way that Elite handles FTL communications and sensors to be quite interesting. Somehow NPCs know instantly if you have cargo as soon as you buy it, bounties update instantly when you attack another ship, etc., and yet you have to visit a station in person to collect your own bounties or pay fines. Not to mention that the Engineers were able to send me their introduction messages while I was over 10k ly away from the bubble on my return trip from SagA.

Yes, cheating NPCs completely destroy any sense of "just being one of a billion" and instead make you the focus of your instance. It's this more than the overall difficulty level I find disheartening.

I got Farseeer's invitation but couldn't send her my exploration data....

odd that.

This is your view but you should be matched with other Brasil. I in Europe with good internet who paid same as you for elite shouldn't get punished because you have bad connection. See it works both ways.

If elite is as popular as many here claims it is there should be no problems to fill my instances in popular places/systems with 31 other people from Europe that have good internet. Don't make my gaming experience suck because someone else can't get, don't want to pay or can't pay for better connection, it shouldn't be my problem. In games which allow players to host own servers people set up max ping commands for server to kick out people with bad/slow connection, because they want to have people with good connection to play with as everyone hate lag and one player with bad connection will ruin everyone else experience.

Let's not start talking about money, because elite here is like 180 cash when you are paid 600 monthly, so its pricey. Secondly, my internet isn't crap, but its not closer to the server so I cannot run a 100% connection. Third and finally I don't think region locking the server is right, because its a international game. If it wasn't I shouldn't be able to buy it in first place.

I never combat logged against players. The game offers you the chance to run away, but if you think you can handle some pewpewpews you should accept your fate on the battlefield. Win or loose. When I'm not on the mood for pvp I just run away and that's that. When the area I'm is impossible to ignore pvp, I go solo.

This thread is pointless. It just supose everyone has the same variables on connection and that. After all what you win destroying a player ship if not the satisfaction of wining? Combat log may be a surrender? You win the battle anyway. And don't say "but the materials" because you realy search materials from pvp? I wish you good luck for the next years...
