Tidied it up a little, I think
NPCs
Environment-
- Talk face to face with mission givers
- Suits can be upgraded and customised
- Can negotiate for mission rewards from mission givers
- Negotiation success dependant on your reputation, influence, experience
- Mocap used to get fluid human motion, then cleaned-up
- Plus handkey animations used where needed and appropriate
- NPCs will interact with each other
- NPCs will differ based on factions that control them
- NPCs will be voice acted.
Missions
- Three types of social hubs, in starports, outposts and surface ports (was in Polygon article)
- Seamless walking in and out of hangar
- Ships will be visible through port glass
- Certain services and mission givers will be affected by BGS
- Settlement airlocks are seamless transition
- Settlements can affect BGS, and BGS will affect settlements
Services
- Combat and non-combat missions
- Many missions locations can simply walk to
- Some missions you will need to travel to (via your ship or Apex)
- Missions can have items need collecting
- Mission locations can have items for scavenging
- Boxes to be searched, unlocked, looted
- Special tools needed to unlocked some boxies (mini game?)

I rather doubt the social hub is right through the door from your hanger. Keep in mind the scale of a station - unless the social hub space is truly vast, it could be a couple miles of corridors from your landing pad to the pub.Fantastic. Keep in mind the scale of a station - unless the social hub space is truly vast, it could be a couple miles of corridors from your landing pad to the pub.
At surface ports, "seamlessly walking out from the hanger" makes sense, because the planet surface is outside. At space stations, I'm curious what would be out there. My initial suspicion is, probably a turbolift to the social hub.

I thought the same with legs though lol, and it seems like our "Neil Armstrong" moment is a teleport.
