Fleet Carriers:
  • Interiors remain unconfirmed, will talk about it in another stream

Wrecked ships as objects of scavenging missions were also mentioned afair

Fantastic. Glad getting to the social hubs won't be a teleport straight from the cockpit.
I rather doubt the social hub is right through the door from your hanger. Keep in mind the scale of a station - unless the social hub space is truly vast, it could be a couple miles of corridors from your landing pad to the pub.

At surface ports, "seamlessly walking out from the hanger" makes sense, because the planet surface is outside. At space stations, I'm curious what would be out there. My initial suspicion is, probably a turbolift to the social hub.

Yep, it does look like there are corridors connecting or adjacent to hangers, probably with turbolifts as you say.

This all sounds great......but.....what about spacewalks? If I can't do that then 😥
I rope that in with ship interiors. At least those have been acknowledged. Can't have EVA without ship interiors... I think. I thought the same with legs though lol, and it seems like our "Neil Armstrong" moment is a teleport. Not that I'm ungrateful, it's just surprising.

I think a few ships could use another detail pass if and when they allow us to EVA around them...

It might be a fade to black, or it might not. I'm very curious to see that reveal too.

But I do have this nagging worry that instead of a fade transition, we could end up with an unskippable 15 second animation of getting out of the pilot's chair and walking to the lift at the back of the cockpit. Every single time you disembark.

More notes here if anyone wants:

Includes fantastical David Braben throttling Arf for revealing too much

I hope they have a Black Friday black suit, it would complement my ship colors, after all, one must be project a certain presence.

Looks like there may be some meat on Odyssey's bones. Thanks for the summary, OP.
