The Peculiar Malady
Sorry Orbitalai once you contract that peculiar malady called "Eliteitus" there is no known cure apart from more Elite. Symptoms can include the following:
A strong desire to play Elite
Constantly thinking about the different aspects of Elite: the gameplay, the ship designs, system specs to play the game and so on.
Constantly thinking about the release date, which will get worse as it draws nearer.
An irrational need to discuss details of the game with other people who may or may not be interested (special note: this is one of the ways the malady is spread through the general population)
A need to visit this forum as every visit just increases the potency of the malady.
Since you are already here and posting, your "Eliteitus" is already well advanced.
I can give you some hope however. If you are finding it hard during the wait why not play some of the previous games, have a look at the open source games, Oolite, Pioneer or FFE3D. They will help to ease the symptoms.
