Preferably a water world, I think. To get the canister fully submerged, you know.

Peregrina has a moon called Undine.

The name Undine is linked to water and the moon or planet Undine here is a water world.

The Peregrina Aristocrats have a black market here too.

Maybe they just pay more for these items than other black markets.

In any case any artefacts I get, after listening to themI will bring them to Peregrina and see what can be done.

We are still really looking for those unknown artefacts. This is the biggy.

Because that could remove half the fun from this... I'm hoping that even when we get the sound, it will still take some thinking to work out what it means... A module for it? No thank-you. :)

Well in my head it would add to the fun because you would add gameplay elements around it i.e. mission to find canister, listen, decode signal into other format (maybe different modules for different formats, dunno if good idea or not)...trail of breadcrumbs etc. and that's at a very simple level. As opposed to having to do things like that outside the game as we are now. "You're breaking my immersion man" (joking).

This is probably a long shot but has anyone turned off the simulated sounds of space and then scanned them....

Maybe soontill relics allow you to jump to Polaris without even knowing you can..

Actually has anyone tried that haha

Those deciphers you have there bring up old memories of when the Thargoids attempted to speak to you over comms.

They tried learning English, but whatever they sent you used to be random.

Just like:

"Make sure to drink your Ovaltine!"

Love it :D

Doesn't that mean we have a first encounter with Thargoids in E: D?
For all we know this could be it (and nothing more).

Anyone tried LHS 412? I am not saying why but maybe worth it. i would but i am currently several thousand LY away heading out to the core . If anyone finds anything I claim credit for the idea.
Ok, you suggest LHS412 and you not want to say why.... but WHY??????
I'm going on Timocani, but I'm 21 jump away (600 LY) searching for WSS and USS

Strange system anyway: pop = 0
No spaceport

Not implausable, if we cannot get the permits the "traditional" way maybe we do need the right canister to jump there. The canister acting as the permit.

Hmmmm

I wouldn't call that first contact.

You'd have to be face to face with a Thargoid vessel to call a first contact scenario.

It think this is a clue or an easter egg (most likely).

Depends what people find, we need to dig deeper.

I think more than a few people will be kicking themselves if this pans out, there has been a "recent reference to LHS 412, and an artifact there" It may be a wild goose chase but what the heck
mmmh
I will go to LHS 412, even if I never find the recent reference you talk about... but I can having missed it

Never said there was a space station there, just there has been a well known reference to it and a certain "Ancient Artifact" relating to the thargoids to be found thereabouts.

Could be worth the attempt, we just never know.

Imagine if it worked though :D

Just for the heck of it, I looked in a few of the trade tools in the hope that someone might have added "Unknown Artefact" when they sold it. Thrudd's was the only one to have it listed as a commodity. No joy. Also checked Slopey's and eddb (don't use TCE...yet).
