Haven't been following this thread properly but if he is talking about the unknown artefacts then I would like to ask.



Has anyone tried looking for signal frequencies outside of human hearing?
The commonly stated range for human hearing is around 20Hz to 20kHz
What if the artefacts are playing audio that we can't hear?


Just because we can't hear it, it doesn't mean it's not there.
There are many frequencies that we can't hear, what if there is an alien race that communicates outside our hearing range?





Just an idea, sorry if it's pretty terrible.
If someone has already tried then apologies.

Just so I can clear this up in my head - we are talking about 4 different container types, and I think only one is the type we are looking for to 'listen to'. We have

Soontill relics
Unknown Artefacts
Ancient Artefacts
Alien Artefacts

As far as I can tell from this thread, it is the Alien Artefacts we are looking for in USS and WSS sources, and these can only be found in certain systems/ a system? edit possible Peregrina system?

Just trying to clear up what we are looking for before we all go whooping and hollering off into the blue...

I haven't heard them myself but if it is Morris Code, does anyone know Morris Code? If someone does can someone post the audio they transmit? Ruling Morris Code right or wrong should be easy enough.

Interesting idea!! The problem right now is: Everyone in this thread seem to not have an unknown artifact and everyone who can be ingame right now is basically looking for it.

I'm so intrigued, that I might sacrifice the 1 hour I have toay to go and start looking somwhere. :D

given that most peoples audio equipment (headphones, speakers etc) would not be able to reliably produce sounds outside of the human hearing range across all the various games host systems then I find it very unlikely that they would use an inaudible audo file because it would defeat the purpose of it not actually being detectable and listenable...
