So it seems we're supposed to stroll around inside the ~1000LY bubble where USS still occasionally appear ?
I've seen them 900LY out, but the few I checked out were standard Pirate scenarios or Toxic Waste floating from wreckage...

@Erimus......the thing you won't give away is exactly the kind of info/rumour/hunch I'm after in this thread....I'm trying to put it all together....even knowing there may be nothing to put together.

Well my hunch was from some info from the various books Michael and others wrote but going by Michael's comments I was probably way off

The Nav beacons for each system bleep out the morse code for the system name , i.e. Lave .. Maybe if someone listened to one of these it would tell us a clue to where it came from..

Well it's not hard you just need a key should be able to get one in two seconds of the net. Then sit with a pen and paper and spell the letters out it's fairly easy as it happens......if it's Morse code anyway lol.
