Oooof! Just came across one of the UA convoys in a SS, lots of worrying chatter about system malfunctions etc...2 Condas and multiple Vultures escorting the T9. Gave it a go....no chance on my own tho even in my beast! :D
Reshas system FYI.
edit- twice now in 5 mins

Good job, Feds or Imps?

Probably absolutely no relation to this at all, but I came across this whilst searching the Internet

It seems to date from 2008/09. Is the author working for Frontier?

Very interesting!
Did you guys read the whole story? I did.
Could the UA be related to the Soontill Relics as well? Could it be a kind of Oberdrive prototype? Or something like the Portal mentioned in the story as well? Could be that Jemina new FSD technology has something to do with the mentioned Oberdrive?

Maybe the new scanner find space anomalies that let you travel faster like you are 65000ly out and you can jump quicker back to a event

Where is Reshas in relation to Timocani/109 Virginis and that recent HIP Imperial system?

i.e. is the "active region" moving across populated space as the convoy makes its way towards some destination?

What would also be useful would be to know how long people are spending checking SSSs (and/or how many SSSs) before a UA turns up. On UA Bank Holiday Monday I spent all afternoon and evening checking signals in one system and did not spot one. Almost all were convoys of one description or another but none of them UA convoys. This was LFT 926. So it's either probably outside of the drop zone or I was just really unlucky.

Any luck? I'm in Reshas if you need a hand.
Nothing, I followed for quite a while but they were saying and doing nothing except moving very slowly. The 2nd and 3rd time i came across them they we'ren't talking over comms at all, like the 1st time.
I was only in the area as I needed a break from the CGs i've been doing so I decided to go for the Isinor permit :D
I'll be hanging around for a while checking things out. I'll give you a req if I see you in open.

Practically no time at all. I just checked one out after looking for pirates for a mission. Few minutes if that. Then I found them again twice in about 10 mins. (at diff locations in the system)

Different convoy then - Hafnium probably. I've had loads of those but none carrying a UA.

That does suggest that my system fell out of the scope of the drop.

Interesting, Reshas is one of the systems you need to get an Isinor permit. Isinor is one of the systems that got valuable convoys added as part of the 1.2 release notes.

Guys, I think I need a summary.

Not about the UAs - I use my phone to read the forum and I just leave this UA thread open, hitting refresh a few times throughout the day to catch any new posts. I need a summary of anything else interesting from the rest of the forum!

So I've been doing the CG in 78 Ursae Majoris, and I had a really good RES instance spawning tons of good bounties. I stayed there for a long time no problem... then I found an Anaconda named Jebidiah Kerman.

Needless to say he outmaneuvered me and my canopy in now breached ;)
