well, being the OP does get you some preference :)

Waiting to see if there are any more comments before doing anything.

(and finishing my jumps to get to Peregina)

No preference - too bad there wasn't a way just to have a link from one of the forums to the thread in the other.

I have no real preference but I'll second Arcanon, as the OP, and vote for Dangerous Discussion.

Just had a look at the Gal map around Timocani. There are a few interesting systems a few tens of LYs away: Siren (double earth worlds as well as a water-based life containing gas giant, but no ammonia life) and a system with a very interesting name: Shibboleth. Now, I'm not a hebrew speaker but I recognised the significance. The excerpt from Wikipedia makes for interesting reading:

"In numerous cases of conflict between groups speaking different languages or dialects, one side used shibboleths in a way similar to the above-mentioned Biblical use, i.e., to discover hiding members of the opposing group. Modern researchers use the term "shibboleth" for all such uses, whether or not the people involved were using it themselves.Today, in American English, a shibboleth also has a wider meaning, referring to any "in-group" word or phrase that can be used to distinguish members of a group from outsiders – even when not used by a hostile other group. The word is less well recognized in British English and possibly some other English-speaking groups. It is also sometimes used in a broader sense to mean jargon, the proper use of which identifies speakers as members of a particular group or subculture."

Maybe reading too much into this (confirmation bias) but curious!

I went to Shibboleth 1st and traded with a hauler before switching to a viper and moving onto Geawenki and Delphin.
I'm pretty sure I only traded with a hauler and did not do any missions or pirating.

Maybe that's the destination haulers are travelling. They are leaving Pliedes or Witch's Reach and travelling here.
I may just be interdicting them on the way. Maybe WSS simulates traders who didn't make it (leaving wreckage behind to loot) and the SSS are also simulating the npc's travelling to their destination.
I dunno what to think now.

The devs need to tell what systems I was in between dates. It will solve the mystery and give away the game but I have no choice but to demand this.
I went to Shibboleth this is true and neighbour systems.
I then left for Geawenki and Delphin.
I then spent some time in Timocani.
I was working the background sim for anarchy factions.
I asked for help in Timocani before this UA thread came along, that is in my post history.
I also made another post about Drug Empires before this thread. It is clear, I think, in those thread's I was in that region before this thread started.
I then left for Cockaingne system to have a look and think about these UA's. It was while I was in Cockaingne that I posted a thread about Peregrina and then this thread started.
I then left for Peregrina.
I don't think I got any UA's in Cockaigne and was only there a few days.
I have had 3 or 4 UA's.

This is about as much as I can recall.
I don't mind being challenged, I realise I am the best lead we have atm.

I don't think it was permitted, but in the original game/lore there was a Thargoid station or something there. There were several other unnamed systems in the Pleiades which had permits however, and at least two of them are off at the moment.

There was a mission in FFE to go to Pleione and pick up Alien Artefacts from a Thargoid wreckage.

They are all open but from the ones I tried they were already tagged and didn't see any SS's while scanning the suns.

Did you scan all the planets with a detailed surface scanner? The original discoverers may not have (particularly if they were new to the game and had not realized they were previously closed systems).

I'm in HR-W D1-79 now and am going to start doing this (and checking any signal sources other than SSS).

I was a bit baffled when it disappeared from the main discussion thread, doesn't seem right to move this one but not the 'summary thread' that has popped up back there. both should at least be in the same place...
I'd support the OP's preference of returning to Dangerous Discussions. The thread has been a little broader than simply discussing exploration and has been quite entertaining to read!
So don't hide it away in some dark, untraveled corner of the forum :)

I've just had a mental image of David, Michael and the whole dev team sat round with beers and barbecue and this thread on a scrolling feed to a big screen TV.

Look, look, they are all rushing off to the permit systems, they fell for it!

Lols and high fives all round. :D
