All these days I was hoping I'd be the one finally picking up that stupid artifact.... it has to come to me, right? ... Well ... I'd be happy if ANYONE would bring this thing to our secret lair.

Pleione wasn't locked, was it? I was able to go there yesterday.

Of course we could interpret Michael's comment to mean they are an exceedingly rare drop in certain regions, but very common in others... ;)

"We haven't changed the spawn rate, they are exceedingly rare though and can only be found within a certain region of space - that does include multiple systems though." was the quote I was referring to.

"a certain region of space" could just mean systems able to spawn signal sources.

Yeah, I mis-remembered it. As you were. :)

It only just occurred to me that I had visited Pleione myself, back in February. I had no idea it was permit-locked before. My diary comments at the time were "like the Solar system but... harsher."

I don't think Pleione was ever permit required. I recall visiting all the systems on the Wikipedia Pleiades list when I first visited around January or February also. The only systems I noted down as permit were unnamed ones.

Certain regions of space, including multiple systems could be the region around Lave, He Bo, Sol, Achenar as well, as the "transit"-systems on the outer rim of our civ-bubble or nebulae / clusters. We'll have to figure out.

I found a wss containing toxic waste "far" outside the bubble on my way home from SADR.

WOW, as soon as I arrived on Pleiades Sector, I get a SSS and a USS in HIP 17729
I chosed the SSS and there was a Pyton fighting with two security FDL.
The Pyton didn't carry nothing, but I killed him for 107000 cr.
Seems good.....

Don't forget to scan the asteroid belts of any of the previously-permit systems you visit - most explorers do not do this.

because they don't give any credits and won't even be marked with a "discovered by" tag ... the are the most useless thing in the game

Lol .. I could build a station from ancient artifacts by now .. btw. does anyone know what the message says they emit?

Did this, found nothing. Might warrant entering the Belt Clusters, but the hints are about Deep Space, so Belt Clusters don't fit the bill - IMHO Signal Sources are the key.

Hi everyone, following the thread since a while now (when it was only a few page big).
Registered for the sake of helping and doing my first post on the Frontier forums :)

I think our best lead so far is searching in the few systems Redeye were when he found UAs (GEAWENKI, DELPHIN, TIMOCANI).
Michael told us that these can be found in Deep Space, and in certain "regions of space" only, so that should mean a handful of system.
I'm currently in GEAWENKI searching for SS, i'll be happy to wing with everyone in the vicinity that want to help :)

Yeah, same here so far. And no signal sources of any sort in any of the previous permit systems in the Pleiades (almost through the list above). I can't imagine they would set it up that you would have to enter a belt without the scan giving some indication that something might be there, no one would ever find it (unless it was in a RES of course). I'm going to plug away at the last few systems here, then head to Pleione for one last check, then Taurus Dark Region and Hind Sector previous permit systems.
