Sorry but I'm moaning.

Look, I have no problems with being interdicted, I have no problems with people pirating and I'll happily play along and drop cargo.

But.. when the same idiot interdicts me SEVEN times in the space of 3-4 minutes its nothing but griefing.

Especially when I am carrying NO cargo whatsoever, six times I ran away and barely escaped and feel free to saying I'm a moaning idiot but no, 7 times in the space of a few minutes is nothing BUT griefing, especially when this joker can plainly see

a:- I have NO cargo
b:- my status is: Clean

Sorry but this just annoyed me so so much, like I said if it was once or twice or 2-3 different people it would not be an issue.
I can't say his name or I'll be modded but I will say he's not a very bright spark obviously, as he's still got the 'Backer xxx' name and he's the first person to go on my ignore list.

In fairness - at least you can exercise the block on him. I think I'd go for three strike and then block.

If enough people do this, they'll soon realise the play style is fruitless. It would be great if they had a count of the number of people blocking them.

Hopefully (as maybe hinted in the galnet report on legality of interdiction devices) Interdiction will end up following the assault rules and become a crime against clean targets in systems that have a jurisdiction that upholds law.

Let them be jerks. In some time, people will have organised large groups of like-minded people to play with and the jerks will be left alone among themselves and will leave for another game to harass other people.

Going back to the OP: The devs could prevent this kind of repeated griefing, (if they decide it is actually construed as such), by simply making the interdiction mechanic more difficult for the interdictor (or vice-versa, easier for the interdictee) upon each subsequent attempt during a single supercruise journey. That way there would be increasingly less motivation for a failed interdictor to try a repeat attempt.

Please, if everyone that thinks like this went to solo it wouldn't matter one bit. Drop in the bucket really so why keep threatening instead of just doing it. Nobody is gonna miss poor sports, get over yourselves. This game isn't gonna change and you aren't going to bully people out of playing how they want. On your high horse wanting to publicly shame people playing completely within the rules lol.

This is the problem with a ranked game. You get the Xbone, PS4 crowd on here that think they're playing COD and want to be first to Elite rank by any means possible especially when you wave a carrot of cash winnings. Griefing will get you there faster I assume. This game allows PVP but it was never designed as a true PVP game. If it was, we would all be playing in open and in a much smaller world. The people who bought this game looking for Arena Commander are obviously going to be bored and start griefing the few players they find. I would suggest just switching to single player temporarily if you are that concerned about a player. As others have said, mark his name down. In MMO's we note these people for future fun on a "KILL ON SIGHT" list. One day you will get your revenge commander and he will squeal and complain. That's if he or she isn't a distant memory by then....lol.

It could be that the interdictor didn't get a complete cargo scan. I've just read a post on someone who followed a PC through several jumps because he couldn't complete a scan, so re-interdicted to get the scan as something must have been hiding in there.

Your elite rank doesn't move for killing clean ships.
It is also suppose to also factor in the ship you are using (and upgrades) and the ship you have destroyed, so killing weaker ships who are wanted doesnt help as much.

Tribbles? Oh, wrong game.

"People who kill players are bad, so let's deal with those players by killing them."

Kek.

I think you're reading what you want in to that post and you're missing the context of the first - and you've misread what I've stated - "It would be great if they had a count of the number of people blocking them." ... i.e. A person can see a count of how many people have blocked them. Nothing to do with other people seeing that figure to publicly shame them. Perhaps you're were typing the response before you read the post.

OP: go play offline mode.

The guy wanted to kill you, it's not griefing, he just wanted you dead, you kept getting away, thus supporting him in getting better at chasing a mark... Or he just wanted you dead.

Is this your first time playing online with kids?

Seriously, this is all part of the 'open play' you clicked on.

If you don't like it why not go off line. save the forums from reading this wha wha.

There is no offline mode.

Solo is away from all the nasty people that can hurt you.

Off line as in, Nobody will bother you again.

Or join the PVE group that's always chatting here.

Put the player on ignore and you will never see them again.

Not necessarily true. I don't believe you can currently block a player without adding them as a friend first - which makes no sense - and a blocked player still has a chance of joining your instance; they just have a lower priority over other players. Given I've never seen more than 3-4 at one time...

Op, if you survive one interdiction and escape, drop out of sc for a while to lay low or jump out of the system. Or fly solo for a while.

Three ways to avoid multiple interdictions. No need for this to happen.
