Docked a few mins ago and no pirates got me but I was not hanging about and kept speed as high as I could.
dropped off another 200T to make 400 and am in top 30% now. Plus another 293,900 cr for exploration data.
sorry that is my lot now as out tomorrow night. Looks like we should hit tier 2 quite shortly.

Well that's me done now, i won't be able to get back on before the end of this CG, been great fun, thanks to all concerned, i made the top 5% again.
Even though a certain Cmdr in a clipper managed to limpet me after an interdiction in SC in Sothis, good battle, but he lasted longer due to SCB, (got him down to last ring a few times, but they just kept coming back) i had none, but still he only got 4 ton of gold before i decided to leave. (when my last ring dropped) I give him credit for guts attacking my Conda in his clipper. But after carrying 384t of gold 344ly, i wasn't about to give it away.

So Ben thanks for the idea......& I did it YEA!! lol I know of 3 CMDRs who saw me arrive in Sothis in my Sidewinder lol
So I decided Ben had a nice setup he listed in the thread about a possible Sidewinder build to go to Sothis in....so I figured why not try it.
I parked my Python at Aonikenk - Compton Dock, grabed a sidewinder & headed out to HIP 6796 - Ibold Port (Li Yong-Rui 15% discount) & not too far away...forgot to record how far away it was but only took me 2 jumps...I had upgraded the sidewinder to have a 15LY jump range.
Built a Sidewinder up as Ben suggested with a couple of changes...they didn't have D class sensors there, so I kept the E class sensor & I decided that would make mistakes, thus needing to have heatsinks for when I get too close to a star or need to boost reapeatly away from mean people ...lol (turns out I didn't need them...which cost me about 1.4 LY of extra range that I could have had on my new Sidewinder)

So I headed back to Aonikenk - Compton Dock to get my 2 precious gold cheap & then plotted out my course to Sothis system. I notice that I am the only Sidewinder in the last 24 to come thru the Compton Dock (when I started this journey)...yea!! I grab my 2t of gold (8814cr per). Then I set course for Sothis...fastest route is estimated to take 23 jumps to Sothis 397.95 LY away
I got 10 jumps in when I had to manually look for a scoop able star as the current flight path was going to leave me sucking fumes to a slow death &/ or a call to the Fuel Rat gang.
So after topping off at COL 285 SECTOR WF-M B8-1 (13 jumps left to go to Sothis on old flight plan), I consult the Galaxy Map with the view only showing O, B, A, F, G, K, & M type stars....
My next jump on the old flight plan is COL 285 SECTOR MK-A A16-0 but not scoop able for fuel. I see 2 scoop able stars that I can use to jump to another cluster of scoop able stars.
So I change the destination to: COL 285 SECTOR HE-C A15-0
going to: COL 285 SECTOR HC-U C3-8.
I scoop & review the Galaxy map again while parked at COL 285 SECTOR HC-U C3-8. I reset my destination back to Sothis to see where the flight path is & then look for a scoop able star along or near that path...COL 285 SECTOR AB-W C2-4 looks good to me, so I set my new destination to it.
When I get to COL 285 SECTOR AB-W C2-4, I top off the fuel tank & look at the Galaxy Map again...re-plot my destination to Sothis Sytem to see what my new flight path looks like.
I have currently jumped 16 times at this point.
My new flight path looked good all the way to Sothis but I will keep checking just to be sure & it adds a total of 8 jumps to my current 16 jumps I have performed at this time in my adventure.
Yea I have arrived in the Sothis system, I am low on fuel so I scoop & scan players to see if anyone is wondering about the Sidewinder that just jumped in system. I see a Type-7 CMDR headed to Newholm Station...no biggie, but then I see a CMDR in a Ferd-de-lance turn & head my way.
Crap, crap, crap!!!...abort scoop!!! Turn & head for the Newholm Station & see what this CMDR is gonna do.
The Fer-de-lance CMDR aborts his straight on approach & turns into a an escort vector along side my path....he send out a message to the system that there are pirates in the area. The Type-7 CMDR responds that he has just escaped an Imperial Clipper's interdiction attempt....whew glad the Fer-de-lance CMDR is hunting just pirates lol.
I get to the Newholm Station and have never been this happy & elated at the same time. An Anaconda see's me asks me if i really flew a sidey all the way out here...proudly I say yes
))Then I dock, look at the traffic report for Sothis - Newholm Station & see that there has been 1 Sidewinder in 24 hours...giggle
)))I check my repair bill 4cr for 1% damage to my Hull Integrity & 10cr to repair my 1% damaged paint lol ...14 cr repair bill..dang!!
I turn in my most precious 2t of gold for a profit of 3,056cr ...sweet!
My start time [undock]: 18:04 30 SEP 3301 (game time)
My end time [dock]: 19:21 30 SEP 3301 (game time)
1 hour 17 min in my Sidewinder
Thanks to Ben for giving me the idea & challenge to try this lol.
The experience & fun of doing this was well worth the incredibly long time it took me to write this up, sort my screen shots, & label said screen shots.
......it appears that the forum loaded my screen shots out of order...the screen shots are numbered from 01 to 48

I was purely enjoy the moment, after I recovered of nearly crapping myself when that Fer-de-lance came at me in Sothis System lol

Once again our wing of Traders, Explorers, Miners and Bounty Hunters, took the fight to the pirates tonight in Sothis system.
We believe we have disrupted their criminal operation in the system for a time.
But now we must rest.
Special thanks to my Wing : Cmdr Lovely Lovely, Cmdr Marshall, Cmdr Bjorna and Cmdr Gen Idea who came later in a Sidewinder !

I fell for it and did ANOTHER run. So another 480 gold makes for a current total of 590,823 and a personal total of 3296. Tier 2 is a must with 1D 16H to go, probably only needs another 10K gold. Tier 3 will be a stretch. Alas going out tomorrow evening so this will definitely be my last run.
