Hello Cmdrs,
Once again our wing of Traders, Explorers, Miners and Bounty Hunters, took the fight to the pirates tonight in Sothis system.
We believe we have disrupted their criminal operation in the system for a time.
But now we must rest.
Special thanks to my Wing : Cmdr Lovely Lovely, Cmdr Marshall, Cmdr Bjorna and Cmdr Gen Idea who came later in a Sidewinder !

It was pretty interesting out there...though not a very profitable night for me. Some good counter-piracy tonight...
now at 598,131 so close! only another 1869 tonnes for tier 2

Not sure about Elite, but the "Enders Game" series by Orson Scott Card was incredibly absorbing (and long)...
Is that a compliment ? From a Pirate ?
I could argue that when we do fight pirates we do not make any profit too.
And we have collateral damage like friendly fire ah ah !
Most of you know how to fight and how to elude us very well.
But the most important part is the fun and we had tone of it !
So... Maybe next time...

After doing some mining for this CG I returned home. I did some exploration on the way (only maybe 4 hrs or so) and made a cool 2 million profit on the cartographics alone
I very enjoyable CG, even tho by the time it ends i will be lucky to finish in the top 60% (255 tons)
I listened to that quite recently (the 1st one i did not know there were more), I must admit, it was not my favourite.
Mote in God's eye gets my reccomendation, along with the Gap series.
Other audiobooks covered playing elite..
Dune (the 1st one) (you must know this one)
hitch hikers guide to the galaxy (ditto)
1984 (not really spacy but a chilling tale)
currently listening to Stranger in a strange land
The ED books i actually want to read "old Skool" with my eyes and everything

Praise where praise is due... it's far better for the game when traders get organized and resist piracy in this way, rather than calling 'griefer' on the forums, which up until now has been the traditional reaction.
I am not sure i have ever (ok ever is quite a sweeping statement and an exaggeration
) seen a genuine pirate being called a griefer on here. (but either way it certainly isnt the norm for them to be called that)

I just woke up, so hopefully I can get make to my Python & make a another trip back with it at Tier 2 finally, before I have to go to work

I've seen it quite a few times (I guess we can't be sure if said pirates were 'genuine' without video evidence), it's getting less now though, which is good.
