At last, proof that those trucks have magnetic wheels.

Not really, they are going so fast they are kept on the road by centripetal force alone

Nothing happens, 'cause they have magnetic wheels. Not really, they are going so fast they are kept on the road by centripetal force alonenow never mind about what happens on a revolving station when the car is going anti spin-wards...
PEREGRINUS19, Jordan linked to a video uploaded by the FDL bounty hunter in a different thread. Your Epic arrival in Sothis / heartstopping moment when the FDL turned your way is in the last couple of minutes:I was purely enjoy the moment, after I recovered of nearly crapping myself when that Fer-de-lance came at me in Sothis System lol
Here's how

He saw the dashingly handsome pirate interdict you and then followed the wake. Just found it today.
The status in your transaction tab normally updates immediately. It can take a couple of minutes to show up though so don't panic...
Not for me, it always takes a jump to another system or logout to update that. YMMVThe status in your transaction tab normally updates immediately.
Hi Rapidfire, I met you in SC on my way into Newholm after my mining expedition.![]()

I find Oretes nearer to buy gold, it's only 344ly. (if i remember correctly)
Take care frying your T9 fuel scooping and jumping. Speaking from my experience of three Buckyball Runs to Sag A*, the Cargo Hatch is always the first module take heat damage and start malfunctioning, and the malfunctions can happen while the module health is still up at around 80%.I did more or less OK last night. The trip back to Aonikenk was uneventful but on the way back to Sothis I crashed into stars THREE times whilst fuel scooping! After the third time the hull was OK at 97% health, but the modules had been fried down to about 85% health during the microwaving you get as you spool up the FSD on the escape vector. I think 160% heat was the hottest it got.

It is actually quite an interesting exercise to buy a cheap ship then fry it to death by flying it into a star (I did this one time after running out of fuel as it was more fun than hitting self destruct and it wasn’t worth contacting the Fuel Rats).
.
The ships take an amazing amount of punishment and scary warnings before finally giving up the ghost so after trying this you do tend to be a lot more relaxed when sparks start flying off the console in the normal course of things.

I carried a single ton of rares (Jaques Quintentian Still) to give to CMDR Metta at Sag A* and used AFMU's to maintain the cargo hatch health above 90% all the way. On an earlier run my cargo hatch was at 1% on arrival at Sadge, while all the other modules were over 85%. CMDR Alot lost his 1t of Kitten Brand Coffee during his record breaking Buckyball Run, so I'd hate for you to have cargo hatch malfunctions with 480t of gold onboard!![]()

I’m flying a T9 so does Oretes have a station selling gold rather than an outpost? Also how far is the station from the entry point?

Well, you say that, but my T6 isn't quite so well built....
During a run last night, I was popping away from the console to wash the dishes during refuelling (I throttle right down close in)... bet you didn't realise the T6 had a kitchen sink (Class D2)!
Anyway, long story short, I came back to the console amidst a storm of smoke, flashy lights and warning messages, 130% heat, not sure how long it had been like that... obviously got something wrong there... Pulled up, headed away from the star as fast as I could with the failing everything.... and then.... just as the temp peaked...
Cargo Hatch Malfunction, jettisoning cargo!
And there went a third of the gold...
Lesson learnt.
Huge big balls of thermonuclear fury should not be left unattended.
on my second run from Aonikenk in an Anaconda, i thought i'd be smart and take an 'L' shaped route to avoid most of that large brown-dwarf/t-tauri field - and on the fourth jump, landed smack bang in a binary star. the heat was up to 150% before she'd even started moving. very nervous for the rest of the trip.Huge big balls of thermonuclear fury
