Sothis Community Goal Guide

Hello,
Somebody can tell me where are the "ranks"?
I search to be on the 60%, but mining session after mining session, I'm still on the 90% :/

.
Yesterday afternoon, the threshold for top 5% was somewhere between 1888 and 2012 tonnes. Thursday (I slipped under again) it was around the 1700 mark

Just delivered my first load 108t and went straight into top 60%.

Wow! With all the posts in this thread and the publicity, I would have imagined that it would have been higher. Hmmmm... might jump in with my Python. It would be particularly well equipped for this with 192t cargo and the ability to jump near 200 Ly fully laden without having to refuel. And pretty well armed too...

If you're taking the Python, there is a trail of independent outposts almost all the way from the bubble into Sothis. No need for extra-fuel tanks.

If you select map view and zoom out a little after plotting your course, you will see a trail of little yellow spots along the way.

No need for heavy weapons either, all the pirates went away to Carnoeck to catch plenty of easy fish, they're almost elbowing each other for a bit of free supercruise space.

Thanks for the tip! I have one extra tank that is there permanently. There is nothing I hate more than having to stop to scoop or, worst, heading to a station to refuel! So, I added an extra 32t fuel tank and can now make between 13 and 16 jumps for almost 200Ly without the need for fuel and I'm happy with it! I might have had to sacrifice one shield cell bank but I already have one and don't like what they do to the game.

The top 30% was around 500t last night (UK)
And top 15% is somewhere just over 1000t (as it was on Wednesday night as well).

The total collected is still going up, but the number of contributors isn't so much (as far as I remember the numbers from a couple of days ago).

Roughly 120000 tons and 80 new contributors over the last 24 hours.

Just made my second run. Total of 107t, top 60% (which is a surprise).

I was interdicted twice this time. I evaded the first attempt, but I think something went wrong during the second as it only lasted a couple of seconds and I couldn't find the escape vector  it zoomed off screen right at the start then <BANG!> FSD Failure and I was back in normal space.

I fly an ASP and I'd been interdicted by a "Wanted" CMDR (and wannabe pirate) flying an Adder! Let me say that again, I'm flying a fully armed up, nearly all 'A' rated ASP with several shield boosters ... and he was in an Adder and he interdicted me! Brave or foolish? You decide; but before you do, consider this: he interdicted me after I'd sold my gold and was leaving the station!

After a few seconds of fire from my 6 weapons (lasers and multi-cannon :D) and with his shields down and with 40% hull left he started to jump away. I sent him a friendly message "Coward!" just before he jumped. I didn't have any way to track him - I'd traded everything like that in for cargo space and fuel tanks, so I couldn't chase him down.

His name is similar to, but not quite the same as, CMDR BallBash (he'll know who he is).

Something else strange - it said he was number 2 in a wing of 2, but his wingman didn't appear. I'm guessing he ended up in a different instance. Hmm, maybe he'd winged up with something bigger? <shrug>

Just finished a 3 hour CAP with two CMDRs. Thanks for the company.

No pirate activity but a nice stream of miners.

Stay safe.

Really nice CG! Time and traveling runs faster when trading in wing. Today really nice trading with CMDR EAXS. Even piracy didn't ruin it, but some FDL pirate tried it...
