Hardware & Technical Sound broken

Hey,

For about a week now, my computer has a very weird sound issue. There's a rithmic cracking when it plays sounds. At first I thought it were my headphones, but when I unplugged I could still hear it coming through my speakers (it's a laptop). It's really starting to get on my nerves because I can't play any music or game without hearing it. Can anyone tell me if this is software or hardware related and whether or not it can be fixed? I don't know a thing about computers I'm afraid, I just use them...

Hard to say, could be either!

The first thing I would try is to reinstall the audio drivers.

Check the manufacturer's website for your laptop, and you should find the audio drivers somewhere in the support/downloads section.

If that fixes it then great! If not, more diagnostics need to be done. But see how that goes first.
