So I was roaming around the planet, doing a search and rescue mission to find an escape pod.
I like those missions since it feels like they have a bit of backstory, plus the Search and Rescue thing has always had an appeal to me (guess it's the helping others thing).
Anyways, I'm rolling a long the surface and finally pick up a "man made" object indication on my wave scanner and move closer to investigate.
4 skimmers take off; all of them with wanted status. I proceed to blast them out of the sky.
As I get closer I find the escape pod.
Except... it's not just the escape pod I was tasked to find. It wasn't even two.
What were those skimmers doing? Why were they guarding SEVEN (!) escape pods? Were they collecting them for some nefarious reason? Were they tasked to collect these for some Space Age Doctor Mengele? Are they part of some low-key slavery operation run by pirates?
I suppose we shall never know.
At least these 7 guys and gals will be promptly loaded onto my Cobra Mk3 where they will receive milk and cookies before I return them to the outpost.
Stay safe out there Commanders, and remember, space is a harsh place.
