IMPORTANT: Spooky Pack new DLC coming soon!

Sorry, not buying this.

I am really interested to see what we can expect at the Frontier Expo.

I'm sorry, but the game is not finished yet, though still bigger expansions need to be paid for. No. We have some half completed themes in the game and instead of completing this we are getting paid content?

Sure hope October will bring new stuff. But this feels a bit disappointing. I have to be honest.

If turning major requests by the community into paid content packs you are losing my love for your company and the game.

[sad][sad][down]

Hiya, thanks for the feedback :) we've seen a lot of free content throughout this past year with Planet Coaster, with the team working incredibly hard on all of it. Sometimes, packs like these will be paid for - and you get a lot of content for that value. Thanks for understanding and respecting the hard work of the team :)

True, but these also needed to be accompanied by a lot of necessary bug fixes. Yes, we got rides and stuff. But scenery can not be part of a free update?
Where are all the trees, bushes and why are the walls still not available in every texture? This is basic stuff, even your sweet smile can not take away the disappointment.

Well thats is literally an omnimouver. Dont know if they will add the other staple of it (never stops moving and there are vehicles through the whole track) becuase of the mechanics the game uses of getting people in an out of the ride, but at least, for the important ride show it seems like a similar system.

I don't agree [tongue]

What i ment is a tracked ride like we have right now (the cars and the cats) but just (controlled) spinning versions.
Omnimover is an endless chain of cars that never stop moving :)

Really excited for this pack, much more so than the licensed DLC. Happy to support such an awesome team! Can't wait to see what it all looks like.

Any chance King Ghoster will get his own set of scenarios in Career Mode? [wink]

£8? Bargain! :D
Really? Haven´t seen what is included, but I say it again. This is BAD direction for a game that is HEAVILY based on Workshop... I hope you will be shouting "bargain!" when 10th similar DLC is released and you start feeling that Workshop is being useless, because it gets too fragmented.I understand Frontire needs to be supported more with paid content, however I´m not going to support this way. Funny enough that I would be buying content not affecting workshop (train skins, mascots, stickers for coaster trains or additional ride themes as long as they would be replaced with the base design for people who do not own the paid skin)more instead of these DLCs....

Well it does the same riden show things as the omnimouver, is more than the game mechanics dont let it do ALL th things omnimouvers are known for sadly. Still, we can turn them around and show what we want from a scene, and put them backwards, even if the track is not ful of them, I dont mind and will call it omnimouvers lol.
I just hope they are not really themed (so no skulls or ghosts on the car please), like the haunted mansion ones (they are just black shells), so we can repaint them and turn them into any theme, not only haunted.

So many themes (and rides) are missing in the base game and we have to paid for a new one? [blah]

It's not the rides I am worried about. The number of rides is okay to me.

Just thinking about whatever packs there could be coming thinking about whatever theme you can come up with the possibilities are endless. But if every one is gonna cost € 10,99 I ain't buying them.

Let's see it this way. They have been spoiling us before and during Alpha with great artist impressions of a spooky themed wall set and static and animated attachments, special effects, shop fronts, path extras, doors and windows, fences, triggerable coaster doors, themed custom signs and facility signs.

And that's the reason I bought the game in the first place. Now ONE YEAR LATER they suddenly appear, hooray they arrived....... but they are in a content pack I need to BUY!?

Come on, even for Frontier this is just bad bad bad marketing.

Considering the amount of complaints the past year, things like Coaster Smoothness (which they said they were looking into) of the lack of Christmas / snow stuff, or coasters, rides, custom images, custom music, custom map texture, which we now all have. £8 isn't exactly much to ask for. Think of it this way, your £8 gives them money so they can continue to work on adding even more rides, coasters, time, effort, etc etc

The list of things people want is neverending, but we seem to be getting everything slowly, which isn't a bad thing from a developer that isn't the biggest out there.

hm, mixed feelings here... I hoped for a real update like the winter and spring. Been waiting for this content since the launch of pc and now we have to pay for it. I understand that the people need to get paid but release more smaller packs like BttF as a dlc, not something major like this (if its major)

Gonna wait until I see what this contains before buying. You should had some visuals in your trailer.

Not too happy about this. I'd rather see gameplay improvements and let the people make the content. This will split the workshop up even more. [sad]

And it's not about the price for me. I'm willing to pay more for more QOL features and gameplay additions but charging money for a spooking scenery set seems wrong if you compare it to RCT123 where it was one of the main themes. Afterall it should be one of the main themes of a theme park game.

Leave the creating of scenery to the community, fix gameplay instead and sell additional core features and gameplay like pools and safari as extra.

Given the incredible amount of free content that has been patched in to Planet Coaster since launch, I'll be happy to pay $10.99 for this pack.

I do think that the pack should include a set of career mode scenarios and a biome though (and while I'm dreaming, make the first scenario free to everyone as a demo for the pack).

I have been around since Alpha, which cost me 80 € around that time, and I never regreted my decision. But if it means I have to pay the same amount AGAIN in the end to get my game complete with all available themes I believe it is rightful to question these things.

I can fully understand things cost time, dedication and money. And there are people in the world that don't ask questions every time something costs money.

Price - quality wise I would say. Great, perfect, stunning.
Price - quantity wise I would say: fail.

A lot of the scenery in this pack should have been in the basic game, That's how I feel about it. I don't mind paying for the rides, but I feel they just added all the scenery just to make it this "expensive".

I mostly find it difficult to handle that their focus is on creating new visual content instead of fixing/adding QOL updates. I would more than happy pay double of that for many suggested QOL issues you keep seeing being mentioned again and again on the forums. I do not need extra content when the game still isn't as streamlined and doesn't give you the freedom you would expect for a game like this.

No thx, don't want to wast my money on something that is not worth £8 and then just to top it off, you get bad performance so whats the point in these updates when it reaches the unplayable fps x

Thank you sooooo much for listening again to the community. You are the most amazing devs for a game to have. This proves again that Frontier does listen.
Community:We need spooky items and ENF Mystic Mover(at least that's what i think the rotating axis thing will be,or a doombuggy?)
Frontier:Yo we do that and that, here you are three new coasters and a new theme set with signs scenery and animatronics!
Community:Wow that's amazing. We only asked for so little and became so much[big grin]
I'm really curious though what that platform ride will be?(Mystic Mover or Doombuggy, has to be one of the two)
PS: I don't care that i have too pay for it!At least something new #infrontierwetrust[heart]

That's just pure evil, releasing essential content as optional paid dlc. I love it, please take our money so you can keep working on Planet Coaster. For the amount of time of fun i will have with this pack, it's worth every penny.

It so happens i am working on a haunted ride as we speak, which will be on hold for a week now. I was doing fine without a spooky content pack, so this will probably just make the ride a bit longer. It will be a pain in the ass replacing the track with a newer one though. Anyone got any good tips for replacing a track 1:1?

Anyways, looking forward to this DLC :).

Schwarzkopf shuttle coaster confirmed?

The Hoax could also be the doombuggy and the platform the mystic mover!I'm just confused cause it says fast

But there will be more of these and in the end, the amoun can be insane! It isn´t much for you, but for some it might be. Also imagine that average full expansion costs about 20-30 EUR...Still, my main problem with this is fragmenting the community. There are other ways how to implement micro-transactions and let us support the game, without fragmentation of Workshop....EDIT:Also I guess people still believe that "adding moddiding to the game is not an easy task...". It´s not hard to add it, but that would ruin this DLC strategy
