We don’t need a third caiman when so many other groups of animals are lacking severely. What's wrong with the Black Caiman? We'll at least have another reptile bigger that the American Alligator.

Might want to check the zoopedia again, we may have a certain very large crocodile already ingame. We'll at least have another reptile bigger that the American Alligator.
NA animal pack did have oddballs though, Arctic fox and prairie dog, it was just that they choose good oddballs, compared to some recent ones..This oddball talk is making me irrationally scaredThey CANNOT mess this up. We need a North America Animal Pack-type roster. No oddballs!
I don't even consider those oddballs, at least for North American zoos. I've seen prairie dogs many more times than I've seen crested porcupines. I also think that the fact that people were upset when we got the Arctic wolf instead of the Arctic fox in the Arctic Pack suggests they weren't oddballs. imo, they were more a sloth bear situation, wrong place, wrong time.NA animal pack did have oddballs though, Arctic fox and prairie dog, it was just that they choose good oddballs, compared to some recent ones..
TBH for someone from North America there wasn’t a single animal from that pack I would consider an oddball pick. That’s how good the animal picks were for a North America pack, each one had a place and is a fairly common animal in zoos.I don't even consider those oddballs, at least for North American zoos. Oh all those are good.I think a cool oddball would be the South American river turtle as our first habitat turtle and second turtle in game. The females can get up to 200 pounds! Could also make for a good mixed species animal with the dwarf caiman or tapir/ capybara.
Otherwise an agouti, red legged seriema, black and white tegu, saki money, and a currasow can all make for good oddballs.
Actually, I don't need another cat in the game anymore, I think we have enough of them. SA has enough other animals that I think are better than another cat. For me that would be on the same level as getting another caiman. And one that fills the same niche as the Jaguar and looks the same too. (and I also find the water agument a bit strange, as far as I know jaguars also like to go into the water and swim after their prey)Was looking through the ocelot discussion and realized I forgot to ask something
@jcp011c @Markiz @Fini @KönigDerKaffeebohnen @markun @NachoB @Tinou97 ….How would you guys feel about the margay instead of the ocelot? Fills a similar niche but looks just a bit weirder and cuter. Might be more interesting.
I agree with those who would prefer more new world monkeys and birds than another cat though— and especially the Brazilian porcupine which someone mentioned. It actually has always been one of my most wished-for animals. But I wonder how much justice frontier would do it. (For instance, even after the redesign, the binturong is still a bit… ehh… some weird and unique animals require very precise models, vocals, and animation to capture what is so special about them. )
I also find it bizarre we got the caracal over the serval, since servals are so much more fun to look at. If we get ocelot and caracal but not serval, it would feel weird to me.
I said another.Might want to check the zoopedia again, we may have a certain very large crocodile already ingame.
It could mean a whole load of things but it was most definitely directed to the upset nature of the pc audience but the main thing is that frontier wants to maintain their secrecy to keep us speculating yet again. It's very easy to read too much into these things and get too hopeful for amazing new packs that we keep coming up with.By the way:
I listened to the Interview over the weekend. I'm a bit puzzled as to why she says "you'll be happy with us" - why does she say something like that?
We obviously weren't happy last year, why is she using a statement like that, she could have just left it at what he said "that they aren't finished with the PDLCs for the PC yet"
I've thought about it a lot, either it was a bit rash to say something like that, or they're planning something that would make us "happy". But what is the definition of "you will be happy with us" and what should we be happy about?
I still don't know what to make of it, but I don't want to read too much into it either.
But still I keep thinking "man, damn, WHAT is supposed to make us happy! Tell me!"![]()
Mmm, I was happy last year. Of course it could have been better, but we got 4 good packs, nice updates and many higlhy requested things (sloth, gibbon, porcupine, dromedary, devil, swan, wolverine, gift shops, brachiation, viewing domes, Malayan tapir remodel, null paths, several colourmorphs, temperate Oceania, another anniversary animal...). With every pack since the launch of the game there's has always being a disappointment about something especific, but I would say overall the community was happy last year. Then people are now panicking about the game ending soon and not having received some things they want, so they are saying that last year packs were bad, but I strongly disagree. I am very happy with Frontier team and the game, and I hope "I'll be happy with them" this year too.We obviously weren't happy last year
I think it just means 'we've listened your complaints and wants" and so we'll get more SA and birds. I just hope it also means they'll drop the oddballs and bring us just the species with more demand (top 30-50 meta wishlists). Maybe it also means tree kangaroo, baboon, pelican, ducks, etc.By the way:
