I just don't understand the logic in assuming that Frontier would be like, "Eh, just one pack left. Let's be lazy about this one! Clone time, baby!" Because while the DLC won't make or break them it's still potential revenue (for two platforms now) and their reputation as a company. They're going to want to keep people interested in their games with a new announcement coming up.

...And don't even bring up JWE2's last pack. The two games are different enough in what the DLC packs provide that it's never been a 1:1. So no reason to assume it would be the same here.

Had a look at previous speculation threads to see if there was a picture of it posted, sadly not as far as I'm aware but it's sad we have been discussing/arguing the exact same things about meta wishlist animals for 2+ years to then be disappointed in 2023 when a huge chunk of the top 25 was added to the game.
Well obviously it’s because they added the animals into the game WRONG

(lol)

Secretary bird, shoebill, great white pelican, roseate spoonbill, greater Rhea, grey crowned crane, scarlet ibis, mandarin duck, marabou stork, golden pheasant, greater roadrunner, helmeted guineafowl, Atlantic puffin, southern groundhornbill, southern rockhopper penguins, American flamingo, mallard, Hawaiian goose, and an ocellated turkey…….

The things I would do to just copy paste that list into the game. Almost triple the bird numbers!

But yeah it looks like nothing has changed a whole ton since December 2022 (besides the 25 animals that made it in) Time is like a circle here!

Well here is a fun question: of all of the “impossible” options which do you think we are most likely to get in the final dlc?
No playing it safe, you have to pick one!
  1. Birds in the WTE
  2. Fish, either habitat or exhibit box
  3. Full aquatic habitat animals, think the manatee
  4. Anything above 12 animals in the final dlc
The most likely outcome might be more than 12 species (though not by much), as the previous finale DLCs are about 50% more expensive, but seem to be better value for money. There's also the potential of them leaving birds & aquatics for an eventual sequel, and the possibility of a butterfly situation, with near identical species in the same pack taking only one spot.

An exhibit fish seems easiest, but a flighted bird is a guaranteed selling point. Birds have more potential in behaviour and colourations for a single species (or group of similar species), whereas exhibit fish are pretty simple, the amount of effort could be close to half of a flighted bird.

Is anybody able to see what the meta wishlist looked like in like spring last year or even earlier in 2022?
I have a lot of them from different periods.
This is Dec 2022

Yeah I agree with you there, the only thing is with it being so close to the end it makes me wonder if we should just go for the animals that are higher on the list.

If it makes you feel better the animals at the top of the list now were the oddballs when the list was made 4 years ago.
I’ve never thought about like that but you are right.
Although still there are some species from the bottom of the list that nobody ever mention but would be great to get. Those are the ones that are always surprising for me in the new packs and would be great to get into the roster. I’m talking bout species like African civet or lion tailed macaque. Not really popular or high on the list but I think they would make a lot of people happy and would be a perfect oddball addition.

4 is easily the most likely. but the only one that is "impossible" is 3 as there is no precedent 1 and 2 are simply a choice they are fully possible just havent been done

Knowing Frontier It Would Probably Be Number 1. Adding In Say A Hummingbird Or Lorikeet Is Not That Difficult. We Can Also Use JWE's Final Dlc To Use As A Reference For Planet Zoo. The Final DLC Had Pteranodon The Only Pterosaur In The First JWE Game.

They're all impossible. Even up to 12 animals seems impossible. Let's not expect anything other than a standard DLC for the final one. 4 habitat, 1 exhibit, 150-250 scenery pieces.

I agree, although I think the odds are slightly in favour of an animal pack with 7 habitat and 1 exhibit animal.
