Spring 2024 DLC Speculation

Me too, the Barbary sheep would be such a let down
Cuz it's another African animal?

PS I mean if so I too agree, for there's a lot more gaps in Asian ungulates than people think ergo should be favoured more than African ungulates at least for montane species.

I really do not care so much about the exact animals we get. I Just hope there is another chance that my beloved Dik Dik can get into the game. Everything else I do not mind so much. Animal is animal and every species can make the game at least broader. Sure I have some more prefered animals as I would Like to see the residual two bear species within the Game for example. But I am just looking Forward to spring and I am excited what Frontier will deliver.

I personally hope for something more like the Conservation pack, that has a theme rather then a region/biome!

Obviously petting zoo comes to mind, but a museum/science type theme would just be beyond in terms of new pieces. Maybe a city theme could have been cool but I think the major animals are already there. Kind of different would be a color/rainbow pack with many colorful animals (possibly WE macaws??) and generally colorful animals and flowers and playground objects as new scenery!

Do vivariums count as a theme? 🤣

So the current ideas floating around for the next pack are:
  • Latin/Central America Scenery Pack
  • Some sort of sequel North America Scenery Pack (Boreal, Coastal, etc)
  • Mountains Scenery Pack
Any others?
Safari! India!
If its one of those I hope Frontier considers adding a jackal... They have a ton of culture significance, cool vocalizations, are represented in many zoos (although not AZA unfortunately) and they fill a different ish niche than bigger wolves and wild dogs as well as the smaller foxes.
They may not add a jackal, but hopefully they could for Safari add wild dog colors, OR for India more dhole markings variations...

Gotta agree! Markhors are way to ironic to be left out and I'm fairly certain Frontier would pick them as the headliner for an Alpine Pack.

Markhor
Gelada
Rocky Mountain Elk
Pallas's Cat

NA log cabin scenery/indigenous American props- alpine meadow grasses and flowers and a new conifer.
That’s a nightmare pack for me 😂🙈

Two goats shouldn’t be in the same pack. Markhor and Takin was allowed because they are both very different in structure and environment, one has a lighter goat like build that’s at the top of cliffs, the other is more of a Buffalo build that is more found on less steep mountainous areas. Two high climbing same structured goats shouldn’t be in the same pack.

Therefore, Barbary Sheep > Markhor 😁
