Spring 2024 DLC Speculation

Imagine ending with this ugly hole caused by Eurasia Animal Pack.
If someone showed me this last year I would assume Frontier didnt release DLC in december lol.

The livestream was okay i guess. I think the next ones will be better with console gameplay, more about the next CMS game possibly and some jWE2 info hopefully.

As soon as they started talking Warhammer and Elite i had absolutely no idea what was going on 😓

Still, really missed Jens, Tim, Lydiah and Fran and wish they were here to be part of the console release and hype. They were a big part of what made Planet Zoo exciting.

I think it might be due to all the bugs with the shops and franchise.
Don't know about the franchise issues, but they shouldnt have released the update knowing there were issues with the gift shops. If they had just admitted that they needed more time and waited a couple of weeks to release the update, there wouldn't be so many upset players and bad reviews.

Publicly available player charts are not complete pieces of data that developers and publishers use to make their decisions and predict the game’s future. They all have their own internal trackers that they do rely on that they most likely will never share publicly. Steam’s data just isn’t good to use as a good reference for developing decisions.

It would be different if it was a multiplayer-only game from a consumer’s perspective of course, because you would want at least a good number of people to play with and be supported by.

He literally haven't said anything new we didn't know lol.
Thats how desperate you guys are right now.
Seriously, lol. Even the "doom" crowd already expected at least a single additional DLC release. Basically nobody was saying that support had already ended as of Eurasia, at least as of the most recent interim report. Unless I missed something, all they did today was reiterate exactly what we already knew: support isn't over quite yet. This is no victory for those expecting long-term continued support. This does nothing to change the considerable amount of evidence indicating that support is on the way out. You all are setting yourself up for extreme disappointment a few months down the road with no one to blame but yourselves.

A part of that “doom crowd “ I don’t know where the idea Eurasia was the final DLC came from either. We literally had something in a report or video - can’t remember which - indicating there was still content to come. I think we’ve got either 1 or 2 DLC left at best but we are not at the end already.

I think some people saw how the console season pass would only include the 14 already-released DLCs (with wetlands and SEA seperate) and got confused.

I just have a really good feeling that we'll be getting a good handful of Latin American species in whatever pack(s) we get. The community has been extremely vocal about this for over a year, especially after the disappointment of the Tropical Pack. I have the same feeling as I did in June of last year when I was hoping for the dromedary and porcupine.

I'm dreaming of black howlers doing the chorus behavior, or brachiating spider monkeys. I'm also dying to make a subtropical coniferous exhibit (monkey puzzle trees!!!) for spectacled bears. I also need me HABITAT tamarins and a two-toed sloth. Honestly, I'm starting to prefer Hoffman's two-toed sloths over Linnaeus'. I love their lighter-colored faces and that they're from Central America, it adds diversity. And I won't complain if we get the ocelot Once America gets some love, the only thing I couldn't live without is a tree kangaroo. My hopes aren't high for these guys though.

"Can't say too much, but I don't think we are quite done with pc" and "we think you'll still be happy with us"
I didn't watch the stream but "still happy with us" doesn't sound to me like "just one regular sized DLC more and we are finished", because that wouldn't make me happy 😅 But on the other side, "quite done" doesn't sound like "more than a couple of DLCs to be released in the future" either 🤔

In my case, it definitely was, I've been restraining myself from playing since Christmas. It's the first time in almost two years I've been so many weeks without playing, even though the combination of swan, reworked Malayan tapir and modular shops made it my dream update.

I still don't understand that, but since i don't own any consoles and i won't be buying the console version i don't really care lol

I really hope so!

I could see them doing a latin america scenery pack in spring with howler, coati, rhea and mara and later in the year a more general rainforest animal pack with a couple more SA animals some from other places like the tree kangaroo and guereza
