Spring 2024 DLC Speculation

Thanks for the help!

Well if anyone ever wondered why RightWhale feels the way I do, now you can see it lol. I got 4 to make it in, which is better than nothing I guess. I’ll admit I made the post late, but I never thought the birds I wanted were any more difficult than any of the other animals. I will say some of my animals have shifted around a bit, like a scarlet ibis instead of a Congo peafowl. Otherwise it’s not too dissimilar.
I think the fact that 2/3 of the mammals on a 25. list made it in, and the one that didnt is a monkey is saying alot :D

Yeah, it’s also the monkey most associated with the success of proper zoo conservation efforts. Which makes it even weirder it isn’t in the game yet.

Honestly let some of the WTE animals have babies and IMO most of the issues I have with WTE will be gone. I get they are tedious and less freeing, but they are way better than nothing.

I wish Frontier would just port over some of the tree exhibits from the Zoo Tycoon game, I understand it’s like a moving statue but at this point I just want them to be in game.

I guess in the year between posts I have either been influenced by all of you, or burned out by the desire for birds. I often drift between my desire for excess birds and other mammals, but tbh here is hoping the new dlc knocks off more of this list! Also usually the animals I want depend on what zoo I daydream of building and my current fixation/ mood.

Eh idk settling for trash doesnt vibe with me, especally as those tree exhibits are ugly like damn

Call me a raccoon the way I would eat that garbage then lmao.

Personally I’m fine with something just ok, especially since support is ending. It’s like how I think JWE1 is probably for the better with pteranodons even if it is half baked, than not having them at all.

Which is honestly how I feel about WTE and even Exhibits to a certain point. There is a lot wrong with them, but they definitely aide in the diversity of this game.

I know this is a bit stupid: But what if...
PZ Console Edition arrives on the day we would normally get our Spring Pack. Console Edition is released without patch 1.16 and the Eurasia Pack, right?
As I understand it, 2 more packs will be released every month from then on (I'm not really interested in the console edition, correct me if I'm wrong)
What if we get our last pack when console and PC are at the same level? That would probably mean another 3-4 packs for us (with or without the final pack)
That would be cool, right? And I think with "22 + 4 + X" animals the game would be almost ok if Frotier picked the right ones.
With a focus on South America, a few habitat birds and here and there one or two missing animals (walrus).

That's not going to happen, but I kind of like the idea. :p

By the way, I believe that we will get the DLC on “our” date. The DLC is finished, the only thing still being worked on are the bug fixes. I honestly can't imagine Frotier would let their PC community down like that. After all, we are part of why this game has become so successful. If we didn't play it there wouldn't be as much content and certainly no console edition, so why "punish" us? Right - doesn't make any sense, does it?

It could be about 2 DLCs every 2 months, based on timeframe and Planet Coaster's Console edition (first DLC pair being 1 month after launch), but we won't know till it happens.

It has basically become a new game on three platforms, so it makes sense to keep adding to it for a while.

With that logic though, if they leave new DLC till after the Season Pass, there'll be more for consoles to put in, and therefore more time to make new DLC (so more like 5 more)

The fact there's any new DLC coming beyond the Console edition launch bundles is a pretty good sign of more to come I think. The player stats are pretty impressive, it's still a fair bit more players than Planet Coaster had for most of its first and second years.
