Spring dlc Speculation 2023

Launch of every new DLC is preceded by the sale of planet zoo on steam. It is like that from the beginning. The end of the sale is always couple of days before the launch date.
But I don’t have any intention to tease with you.
You probably know the best.
It is also my Last Post about this topic. But general Steam sales are often coincidence at the Same time with Planet Zoo DLC because PZ DLC always are coming out around big Holidays or the beginning of Summer which are also connected with big Steam Sale.
Around Easter PZ spring sale is coming which also ist the time of Steam Spring Sale which is Always mid to end March. The Same goes for Summer. In October there ist Halloween Sale so this would be an indicator as Halloween Sale Starts later than PZ DLC. Christmas Pack by the way comes shortly after Black Friday Sale. And with every big Steam Sale (Not only These around the DLC) Planet Zoo is also on sale.
But sorry, Just because there are big Steam Sales around certain Times every year for a huge amount of games just not means that a PZ DLC is coming.
And as I already have written There will be very likely another Planet Zoo Sale when the new DLC launches. We can have a look when the hopefully soon planned launch has happened. Every Publisher/Developer has a certain amount of further Sale activities allowed by Steam besides the big sales which are often used around DLC publishing.

I'm not sure how many of you play Jurassic World Evolution 2, but their official account recently released an image with a new building in it, meaning that an announcement for that game's next update and DLC is imminent. And from what I've seen in the past, JWE2 seems to release their DLCs at least a week before PZ releases theirs. I'm not sure how much the release schedules between the two games are intertwined, but I wouldn't expect an announcement for PZ until after the next DLC and update for JWE2 are revealed.

The run-up to the JWE2 DLC release is much quicker than Planet Zoo, I think. They announce the JWE2 DLC and it gets released within a day or two. So it's possible to get that DLC earlier in the week with a Planet Zoo announcement later in the week. I do recall there being times when the JWE2 and Planet Zoo announcements slightly overlapped (though I could be misremembering--they're always quite close together).

And a late-week Planet Zoo announcement would make sense given their more recent announcement schedules (assuming we get a DLC week ahead of Easter like they've always done for PlanCo and Planet Zoo).

Free Update features that I'd be ecstatic about:
1) Individual personalities in your animals
2) To give even more uniqueness to your animals, variations in antlers/horns, fur thickness, build, maybe slight proportion differences
3) More color variations
4) Moving away from animals flexicolor plants; every species every stem/leaf/flower
5) More biome skirts such as coastal, city, or at least one in each biome flat enough for customization
6) Custom genes in sandbox related to general stats and features 1,2 and 3
7) Transfer animals between offline zoos like a hybrid between franchise and challenge and ability to trade with irl friends
I wonder if a computer would need to be more powerful to run these features???
Also feature 1 is something I thought we would get in the beginning somehow. 2 would feel like adding more clone animals almost. Like maybe a Fennec Fox could resemble a Bat-eared Fox in shape...

Agreed with this. We'll have our answer for announcements as soon it says 'Planet Zoo: ✨special livestream✨ with so and so from the Community Management team' on their weekly stream schedule. Usually posted on Mondays I believe.

Last time they didn't announce the stream until Tuesday. Then they updated the stream schedule. So if it isn't up on Monday, don't be alarmed nessacarily.

I think it's very likely we'll get at least an update feature announcement next week. It could be early in the week but it could also be Thursday/Friday. When we get those they also tell us the date that's coming, I think, so we'll know when DLC will likely drop. We may even get the next DLC reveal next week. If not next week I think the reveal would come early in the week after next, either the 27th/28th. If it's a scenery pack, and does indeed release on the 4th like many of us suspect, that would be a tight schedule for reveals but I think it could all still fit. But hey, if the revealed all Monday and told us it's coming on the 28th, I'd be very happy, but I am not expecting it that early.

That's right, I remember that! But they closed the Frontier offices after a certain time for the holidays and they probably had a lot on their plates at the time and forgot to post about the stream schedule, cause I think that was the second to last or last week before the office ceased for the break.

Well, I think it'll come out on the 4th regardless provided there is an announcement next week(with the Outsource_lqa being published a few days ago, I'm pretty sure there will be something). Even if it is a scenery pack. With the last 2 scenery packs, they announced the packs as far out as animal packs usually and showcased the bulk of the new scenery in pieces like they normally do with the animals

That is very true and I wondered if I was misremembering that with earlier pack reveals. It didn't seem like they spent as much time on the non -animal things in the pack, up until Conservation.
I've been playing PZ since a month before the release of the Aquatic pack and the last two scenery packs were the only ones I can remember where they spent more time on scenery.

I am mentally preparing for the “what if Grasslands was the last DLC” and “maybe there wont be a Spring DLC and they are doing something bigger for Summer” posts.

We have been through this too many times.
Jeez, tell me about it. We are absolutely getting DLC this year, the most recent Frontier financial report confirmed as much. All the doomsayers proclaiming that we aren't getting any more DLC really get on my nerves sometimes.

Yeah, there should be none of that, but there likely still will be. Even though it's been confirmed we're definitely getting content this year. - nothing absolutely confirmed how late through the year but suspecting at least 4 more packs. Hopeful for 1-2 next year too. Either way, I am firmly not in the "doomspeakers that Planet Zoo is about to end" camp.

I also don't believe we'll get nothing for spring and something larger for summer. I think we'll see a pack each quarter.
