Time is money - if it takes more time to make then it, necessary, costs more to make (staff time = staff wages). Staff wages (I.e.. time) is pretty much the only cost involved in development, barring any travel that might be involved if that’s needed as a component of the development process (other than costs that have likely already been accrued like equipment, etc.)I think it's less costing more to make and more about the time it takes to make. Like a Barbary macaque would probably take less time for them to make then a hamadryas baboon. Animals will take longer to make depending of if we already have something similar in the game it can be based off of.
