Spring dlc Speculation 2023

I'm sorry, I had to make it😅
why did you put the grey fox in there exactly? it's not a requested clone (I've only seen you requesting it "because it climbs" as if that is enough reason to get a 4th fox lol)

Also I agree the oceania roster feels pretty complete now, only missing those 3 important ones (tree roo, tassie, echidna but this last one I could live without) for it to be perfect. SA (and arguably Africa) feel more lacking rn. Like how come we have got this far with no baboon and no coati when they are such common zoo animals.

Inside joke but also because it's my favorite animal and it looks different than the true foxes. And you're right, there shouldn't be any reason for requesting it as it SHOULD'VE been in the game since the beginning 🤪

It is. Don't question. Just accept. This is the way

I'd go with South America first, followed by Africa, too. I never really thought about how many important animals from Africa are missing

I mean the other continents had some time to catch up to africas headstart when the game launched.

Well I won't be the one to rob you of your happiness then xD and yeah definitely SA should get priority over Africa rn, hopefully this next dlc shows for it.

Also I'm still adamant on my wish for rabbits and swans B) (altho idk in what pack they could come in)

I just would love to see those guys!!

even though I'm not sure if they are consider as full clone, but I just need to see those guys in the game, a better looking tortoise, ZT2 representation, desert tortoise, super common on zoos. I just would love to see another tortoise in the game (but I mostly want the African Spurred Tortoise, which It's my fav species of tortoise I think).

I'd prefer something like a Radiated Tortoise which is smaller choice contrasting with our current giant tortoises.

The international representation? The emu, wallaby, kangaroo, and koala pretty much covers 75 percent of international collections more or less.
That’s only true if you treat ‘wallaby’ and ‘kangaroo’ as single species. IMO, we need at least a couple more macropods, a monitor, echidna, tree kangaroo and more before we can talk about Australia being ‘complete’ - since the grassland DLC we have a good range of animals and have the most critical but, whilst SA is clearly the least ‘complete’ (since it lacks key species, most particularly, monkeys), Oceania remains, in relative and absolute terms (considering species in international collections), less ‘complete’ than either Europe or North America - neither of which is particularly well represented in zoos outside their respective regions.

I need the spurred tortoise. A desert tortoise would be so cool in the game

What are your expectations for the upcoming Planet zoo DLC of spring 2023?
Honestly, I'm betting on a Treetops DLC. Can you imagine a DLC dedicated to animals that live on the canopy?

For sure at least 1 monkey HAS to be included, and I'd go with a New World species due to them seeming more unique than Old World monkeys. I'm debating on a howler, spider, squirrel, or uakari

Not to keep getting off subject, but really the only thing bad was the weird romance dialogue in Episode 2 and some awkward CGI scenes. But besides that, I don't think it was that bad, especially when you can find in universe explanations for some stuff, in particular Anakin's awkwardness
It would be cool if they remade the prequels as well as the originals. I know it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea but I think its be cool to see more film remakes the way videogames get remakes. Cause as u said tge ep 2 cgi needs some work.

The issue with that is the fandom. The Star Wars fandom is... Well, let's not go there. I feel like it ironically would get backlash like the deluxe Original trilogy and/or Jar Jar Binks problems (who also isn't THAT bad, either. A little annoying in Episode 1 but pretty bearable and even calmer in pre-sequels and the Clone Wars).
Come to think of it, Marvel CGI looks kinda weird. Could Disney really pull it off?

I also wanna go back to a Domestic DLC. As much as it could divide the community, I feel like once it releases and everybody sees it it'll actually be well loved. I just have a feeling

Unless they go with some truly exotic breeds, I don't see anyone changing their opinion about domesticated animals... definitely wouldnot expect much fascination with a milk cow, a meat pig, a wool sheep or an egg chicken.

Not necessarily. People changed their mind about the dingo. The spectacled caiman. The llama. So, there's no reason why a Domestics DLC wouldn't be loved either

Quick question. Do we know for sure that Frontier will be releasing more content for Planet Zoo? I am sorry if this is clear to others, but I have been quite busy and haven't the time to sift through forum posts for the answer. I am most likely old in comparison to many on this forum. I assume the community is not speculating without reason. Would I be correct in my assumption?

I imagine there's quite a difference between one unwanted animal in a pack (most of them clones) whose fellow animals justify acceptance and a whole pack of unwanted animals...

There was a financial statement released by frontier announcing paid dlc content through the year

There's been proof that we're getting at least 4 more DLC. Where it is I forget...

And who's to say people would hate it?
You don't speak for everyone here, and there's already been proof that a DLC around this theme is liked. While it's not for everyone, there's no reason to believe that it wouldn't be popular. We've had proof of kinda mediocre packs that have sold quite well: Twilight pack, Southeast Asia, Arctic
