Spring dlc Speculation 2023

Just wanted to mention I made a Bingo game in the section 'your creations'

This is the link to the Bingo game.

You know, I find it interesting that JWE 2 got some hints about an update sooner but besides teasers no info.
Meanwhile, we had to wait an extra 24 hours and not only we getting a Livestream (which features hints to the DLC) but we already got our announcement and release date

Are Frontier putting more effort into PZ than JWE 2 since PZ got more players and devoted fans?

That's my question, because for a while I was under the assumption that JWE 2 wasn't doing well but somebody (@Doran, I believe) showed me the JWE 2 is somehow more popular?
Is that right or am I getting mixed up?
According to Steam Charts (I don't know how realiable that is, but that's the only source I know) PZ have had 3K players average the last 30 days, and JWE 2 just under 1k so I guess that means PZ is the more popular one of those two (at least for computer players).

It's also worth mentioning that JWE2 has a playerbase on Epic Games, as well as Playstation and Xbox, so the player numbers combined from all those platforms is probably higher than that of PZ.

Other platforms aside, there is the inevitable fact that most people find mesozoic dinosaurs more interesting. People find those creatures so interesting, zoos are placing statues of dinosaurs to attract guests :( ...

Dinosaurs are a good way to teach people that extinction is forever and that it's important to conserve the animals and ecsystems which are threatened today. I would love some dino statues for my virtual zoo. (My local zoo has a ton of dino statues, but dinos are kind of a thing in this area so it would be odder if it didn't)

There is something I would like to point out, that doesn't really have any relevance to the DLC but to the update. The animal sociability stuff is so incredible, but I was hoping for so more color morphs too. However, some more color morphs and other features that were in Update 1.12 weren't even announced until launch. So I still think there may be a chance for some other minor things. I'm by no means counting on it, and my last intent is to sound ungrateful for what they have given us, but I think there may still be a possibility.

Recent man-made extinctions convey the permenance of extinction better than animals that got wiped from a changing ecosystem and a giant rock hitting the earth miilions of years ago. I have never heard the importance of conserving what we have today in discussions about mesozoic animals.

I mean, I have to admit that as a whole, dinosaurs are so much more interesting than animals today, and that's partly because we know nothing about them. Humans are naturally curious about the unknown, which adds to their popularity because there is almost no way to know what dinosaurs truly looked like, how they sounded, what they ate, how they behaved, etc.

In the case of zoos, every year the Houston Zoo has a temporary exhibit called Dinosaurs!, and it's just a bunch of animatronics; as a kid I was fascinated, but now that I'm older I actually prefer the metal/lifelike statues of zoos

We're clearly travelling in different dino circles. Dinos and other extinct creatures are a great gatecrasher for getting kids (and adults) interested in science and conservation.

I've delivered hundreds of programs on this and don't want to get too off-topic, but the asteroid is interesting because there's debate that it wasn't just an asteroid - that a period of volcanism and climate change had already stressed the animals alive at that time - and then I ask what we could do to avoid a similar event and the answer isn't asteronauts; it's reducing stressors and maintaining a healthy environment and biodiversity.
