SS and FX Quality and haze

Hello,

I am toying around to find the best possible visual settings while maintaining 90 FPS on an EVGA 1080 FTW.

Question: what exactly am I "losing" when I change the in-game supersampling to a value below of 1.0X (eg 0.85) ???
- texture quality ?
- less visuals elements ?
- the "loss" happens in both the HMD and window on my screen or only in the window?
- for now I am using SS 0.85 and hmd quality 1.50 with lots of settings at either HIGH or ULTRA but no AA and performance is very good on stock 1080 FTW clock speeds.

Fx Quality:
- When I set this option to anything better than LOW I get so kind of haze in stations. Are stations supposed to be hazy to be realistic in an space concept or am I only facing a bug ?

Thanks !!!

Basically when you're running supersampling or HMD Quality at less than 1.0 you're effectively running at a lower internal resolution that's a percentage of your base resolution and having it scaled up to fit.

So at 0.85x1.50 ... base Vive/CV1 resolution is 2160 horizontal. So that x 0.85 x 1.5 = 2754. That resolution is then scaled down to fit 2160.

Some stations do have internal fog volumes. It's intentional.
