Stacking missions Logic

I'm stacking massacre missions.
Kills only count toward 1 faction mission at a time...Okay whatever.
I've occasionally gone back to repair and restock and grab more missions before I've completed all the missions...
Here's where I'm confused.
I've had 1 mission in my stack for days that the kills aren't touching.
Now I'm going to lose a 40 million credit mission because the (newer?) missions maybe are taking priority and taking the kills.
Actually I don't know what's going on or if there is any logic, can someone explain?

Of the mission. I suspect it's not kill pirates but kill deserters or something. It's mission accepted order btw. I have done this many times and deliberately chose the order when I can if time is an issue. Which it sometimes can be if the non-wing massacre needs to be done in a day while the wing can be done in 6.

Yeah, LIFO would be ridiculous and punishing the players gametime, so I'm assuming that's what they've chosen.
I don't think they did they for reasons. Just deleting last in order is faster then deleting 1st for most containers. so programmer choose back of container.

It's kill pirates, I can't imagine it was order accepted? Do you mean last in first out? I think the mission was 3 days, and I was completing multiple 6 day wing missions and it never got touched.

It's definitely order accepted. I use it reliably to control which missions complete first for the reasons stated above. Never failed me yet.

I'm confused then, you mean if you accept a mission 1, mission 2 mission 3 for the same Faction it will complete mission 1 first?
In my case I don't know the order, so lets say I complete mission 1, and accept misson 4, It seems like mission 3, 4 are getting done before my mission 2.
Is there no one from FDEV that can confirm this?

metatheurgist is kinda right.

The rule is it goes onto the mission with the least amount of time remaining on the timer (which, since all massacres[2] are 24 hour timers, it'll be FIFO, though that's happy coincidence).

When FD balanced mission stacking, they surveyed the player base with a number of options. Without going into all the options, what came out was:
  • Kills/relevant activities[1] will only stack for like targets when the mission is issued by a different faction; and
  • Kills/relevant activities[1] will apply to the mission with the least time left on the timer, where the missions do not stack as a result of this.

[1] relevant activities, because this was a fix primarily for powerplant/skimmer/installation stacking at the time, and primarily driven by the adverse effect on game performance/interactions with the mission server
[2] Except wing massacres, I think.

So much for the mission time theory. 😛

Yeah, that's what was happening to me. It seems either totally broken or first in last out. I'm going with broken since no one can answer me.

Yeah, no. It's order taken as I said.
Those screenshots don't demonstrate it's order taken though either.

Massacres (unless they're wing) have a 24 hour timer. It's impossible for you to have taken the mission which is getting kills attributed (the 18 hour mission) before the one with only 7 hours left and no kills attributed, since from that shot, they're both normal (non-wing) missions.

So, that kinda proves it's messed up.
