Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

It just means CIG are finally drawing up design docs. FTR should be celebrating ¯\(ツ)/¯
It's going very well, they've just finished the tier-0 of the first letter

My own year in review? I've played (and enjoyed) more games on the PS4 pro than I have on PC...Even on PC, a good bit of my gaming time has been spent playing or replaying those former PS exclusives' that have been recently ported over: HZD, Days Gone, God of War, Uncharted:Legacy of Thieves...whereas nothing at all of note or interest to me has shown face on PC...with the exception of Gunner, Heat, PC and Ready or Not...perhaps Hell let Loose I'd add in there too 🤷‍♂️

I should point out that I've never been a Sony fan boy having been a long time Xbox gamer before returning to PC via ED (and a few flight sims). Nonetheless, Sony's embedded studios have consistently been making the type of games I want to play...on PC or anywhere :)

Best game I've played this year? It's a small pool to choose from, but ... https://store.steampowered.com/app/964800/Prodeus/

Soon all the game studios will belong to Sony or MS anyway. ;)

Makes no difference to me what studio or mega-corporation the games come from...or what piece of expensive plastic I play it on. If the game is good, I'll play it...saying that, my one wish would be for Sony to bite the bullet and enable simultaneous PlayStation/ PC releases going forward. I'm still a PC gamer...as much as I have a PS4 pro (and an Xbox series X)...but I won't be buying a PS5 or any more exclusives from Sony Studios for that reason, they're all tailored to the PS5 exclusively. It's not such a thing with Xbox...since Gamepass ultimate ensures practically all Xbox titles have a simultaneous release on PC anyway.

As a gamer...I really want to see one games market and a death to this mainly console sales driven exclusivity nonsense...from both Microsoft and Sony. We can but hope :)

My Dear Mole - I have attempted to measure my own gaming experience for the year. I was quite unable to assess it objectively, so I asked Mrs Asp for her thoughts.

"The orange space game you don't play that much now. What on earth happened to the joysticks? The blue space game still isn't out, but I am sure Sandi has a lovely handbag collection. I enjoy Baldur's Gate Multiplayer but you never play it right. You spend far too much time playing old Baldur's Gate. I miss you in LOTRO. If you play ZX Spectrum games on a flight again with the music on I will slap you. I'm going back for a full Final Fantasy runthrough. You owe me two dinners out and don't forget to get nice food for the cats."

Definitely a keeper.

You have a point, but multiplatform release is a higher difficulty. See ED e.g.
