00:13 the control panel moved as the platform begins to move. So, for some reason they modeled that control panel as a separate object? I wonder if it always move like that, but the camera always quickly look away for the rest of the video. It's one animation though, at least they could have divided into fold animation and raise/lower animation, almost as if they hadn't thought it through.

I still don't understand why they still don't have space forklift. A Forklift could have loaded cargo pallet directly into the cargo hold.

Too many things wrong about that ship, the rule of cool I guess.
 
Two animations for one door would need a rewrite of Star Doors tech, I guess?
I was wondering if any ship or part of has more than one animation? Even with IF statements it should be possible to choose between animations, unless its an engine limitation. Somthing like in Operation Flashpoint where objects couldn't travel faster than a certain speed or too many sounds playing at once.

The physics works though.

After about 5 seconds, I thought: this is the most confident guy I’ve seen in SC in forever, just running and jumping like that… man.

It really made me realize how we’ve gotten so used to being careful about everything in SC compared to other games.

Funny to think about.

Yeah I think what's going on is there's a large dead ship bisecting the surface, which has become invisible, aside from its landing gear. (So he can no-clip through that zone harmlessly).

I keep seeing floating landing gear in footage around the new sites. Something's iffy it seems...

3 months into a year allegedly focused on stability, debug and QoL but actually see nothing more than shoehorned "content" that brings more bugs and inconvenience than anything else. It sure must not help.

But I'm not worried: CIG just have to bring some shinies and "potential" and faith will be restored, again.

Can't wait for 4.1.1.
